We stayed here for a week over Easter. Our room was large, clean and quiet. The hotel facilities were great and ideal for children, with a fred flintstone themed kids club and activities each day. There were 2 large pools and ample sun loungers. The buffet breakfast was great and the beach is literally 10 steps away. The only down side is the lack of restaurants and pubs etc but a taxi was only E8 into the old town for all of these amenities.

This was my 4th time at the Sol and will go back. The rooms are in great condition, large and spacious. Only complaint was that they deactivate the air conditioning in "winter" it was 25 degrees, so the room was a bit warm, however this was a minor complaint.

This was my first time going all inclusive at the Sol. We found the food there fantastic. There was a huge selection, always tasty and hot, no complaints about the food in the restaurant whatsoever. The only negative comments I would have about the all inclusive package is the bar at night. I was waiting on average 15 minutes to get served each time. You are definitely treated as a 2nd class citizen when the bar staff see the red wristband. It's like the staff are told to serve ALL the paying customers before going anywhere near the all inclusive customers, and then they serve you grudgingly. The all inclusive food at the pool bar is a joke. Pizza, burger and chips thrown into a container and left there all day - take it or leave it, we left it.

All in all it's a lovely place, but think twice about the all inclusive option if you intend frequenting the bar in the evening a lot

Went to Sol Lanzarote for a week in December for a boost before Christmas. Weather was great, sunshine everyday. Hotel was great, really clean, large apartment and great view over the pool.Grounds were spotless and plenty of sunbeds available.

Only ate at the pool bar so cannot comment on the food but what we had was fine and a reasonable price.

Staff could have been more friendly and drinks were expensive in the hotel but as there were bars and restaurants nearby we tended to go out most of the time.

Would certainly go back as we really enjoyed our time there

We went for new year , the hotel staff made a huge effort to make it special, we received champagne in foyer before dinner where the staff came and wished everyone happy new year, you had to book at place for dinner although it is buffet style where you received a scroll menu , after dinner everyone received party bags, really good fun , more champagne and 12 grapes for luck which is a nice touch they then have fireworks at midnight.

The hotel in general room good, really big with kitchen ette ,bathroom large . there was a hair dryer However everything was clean and the room service was excellent. However from around 8.30am the maids are about and due to the floor around the hotel the trollies they have rattle really loud and often wake you up !!.

Every room has a large balcony, however this can only be enjoyed if you get a pool/sea view which is 10 euro extra per night. otherwise your view is a carpark, we were on the first floor outside the main entrance therefore could hear every single coach load of people arrive/ be picked up which felt like they were inside the room. on a plus point there are no flights in or out of the island between 12pm and 7am so things quietened down through the night but people were still picked up at 5am etc to get to the airport. If you were higher views are better can see town and volcanoe etc.

The food is ok, the restaurant food is only luke warm to cold but there is a wide choice, of starters mains and desserts which are all reasonable, there is a microwave to warm food up but in my opinion you shouldn’t need to! However there is a chef there at all time cooking omelettes at breakfast, meat / fish at lunch and inner times which is nice and there’s a huge salad bar, so could quite easily eat there.
The poolside bar does pizza, chips, burgers, toatsies soft drinks throughout the day. Not great but ok we made toasties everyday.

The pool area is large and really clean , pools very cold but in summer time it would be nice. Pool is cramped and only one side of the pool area receives sun for the whole day. The beach is right next to the hotel which is better for the sun and is clean, the water is really clear too.

We went all inclusive and I have to agree with other reviews you are seen as second class citizens, there is a special all inclusive area for you to be severed however later in the evening this is closed and you have to use the normal bar. By which time the bar staff know who you are and don’t serve always serve you until all paying customers have been served first. There are some really friendly good bar staff though which remember your drinks and serve you at the same time as paying customers which is really nice. But others are slow and unfriendly.

Overall the hotel is good to ok, by far not the worst ever, the location is ok, half hour walk into the centre, but there are shops, MacDonald, bar and restaurants all around so don’t really need to go far.

Returned from the Sol hotel yesterday after 10 days travelling with my husband and a group of friends staying all inclusive. The hotel is very clean and the weather was lovely, however the food is the main let down. The choice of food is fine granted some dishes didnt look inviting but the food was always cold not even warm, we ate out a lot. Breakfast was ok as you made your own toast and there was eggs cooked for you. Lunch in the snack bar was fine as you could make your own toastie and sandwiches and there is pizza, burgers and chips but these also are cold and the evening meal was always cold. The drinks were good with all the pop been branded and the water bottles. The rooms are noisy as the floors are tiled so when the cleaners are pulling trolleys up and down the corridor it wakes you. The entertainment wasnt very good in the day you wouldnt know there was any and at night the adult entertainment lasts an hour. The staff the majority of staff are lovely there are a couple of exceptions though. The pools are cold but we went in every day and one is heated - it isnt hot isnt ice cold. The hotel it situated in a good place - two min walk from Spar and 'the square' as we called it where there is a quite a few bars and shops. We walked into Playa Del Carmen which took about 20 mins but we did walk quick but its a nice walk or you can get a taxi for 4 euros. We went to the market in Teguise which you can book for 12 euros at reception but someone told us if we book in the centre it was 4 euro but well worth a visit and we went go karting which is good fun. New years eve was good where we received a goody bag with hats etc in it was a nice touch however all inclusive finishes at 11.30 and this was still the case for new years eve so later we went out. Overall none of us would return, but apart from the food we had a lovely time, but think thats more to do with the company.

As a party of three couples, all mid fifties, we arrived December 28th for seven nights to celebrate New Year in the sun on an all inclusive basis. OK, once we checked in and labelled with our red ‘all inclusive’ wrist bands we were handed a poor site plan of how to find your room ‘guide’. The rooms, once eventually located, were clean very spacious and more than acceptable with good sea views(perhaps a little lucky on this occasion) with a great daily maid service. The Beach was just a few yards form the hotel with a shopping centre with a range bars and decent places to eat close by. The ‘SOGOOD’ restaurant was a bit more like a cafeteria serving a range of what you would expect from a Spanish buffet which looked better than it tasted, no wonder they had a micro wave there, I used it several times to get my meal hot, the plates are not even warmed unless you are lucky enough to get one straight from the kitchen. The staff in the restaurant were very attentive and efficient, no complaints here. The pool area, clean and tidy, a little cramped perhaps and the pool was very cold which is to be expected this time of year. The pool bar served the usual beer and soft drinks, you helped your self to burgers, chips, pizzas from a pre heated Luke warm container unless you wanted to pay for something far more appetising which was cooked for you on demand. Our main complaint overall was the way you are treated at the main lounge bar in the evening. It appears that if you are wearing the ‘red all inclusive wrist band’ you somehow became a second rate citizen. Standing at the bar waiting to be served it was obvious that if you did not have money in your hand to attract the attention of some of the bar staff then you had to shout to get served, even then you waited and only served a small beer unless you paid cash for a pint, the all inclusive cocktails appeared to be out of a carton. Perhaps the staff thought by serving someone with cash, they were more likely to get a tip, particularly the miserable obnoxious female behind the bar who had no name tag(and I wonder why) would look at you and your arm band and do her best to leave you to the very last. So much so, we spent most nights in the local bars without the feeling of being second rate citizens. We will not be returning, ever!

bedroom on 4th floor absolutely fab, bathroom enormous and lovely side sea view which we had paid extra for. Staff very friendly and work very hard, pool freezing and that means all 3 of them. Weather not bad for December in the 70's and pleasant when you could sit away from the pool. The sunbeds round the pool are far too cramped and we did find it difficult to get one in the p.m. when the sun had moved round from the little beach area at side of pool bar. Now rthe downfall the food at lunch time was an insult to all-inclusive guests. Choice of burgers, chips, salad, wafer thin pizza and toasties which you made yourself. It was at thre end of the snacxk bar cordoned off and we found that was not the sort of food older people enjoyed for their lunch. The breakfasts were probably the best meal of the day with quite a lot of choice, omelletes cooked while you waited which were very nice, the evening meal was luke warm and again unless you sat out in the conservatory part it was very canteeny. Because of the quality of the food I would give this hotel 3* and hope for an improvement as several people complained. Wouldn't reccommend it really
