Dear guest,

Thank you for writing your opinion, it is always very useful for us, in order to know what our guests think about the hotel.

It is a pleasure to know that you spent a great holidays with us, and that you are thinking on coming again, this is the best new we can receive.

Regarding your comment about the rooms, just inform you that the rooms you can see from the road are only some rooms for staff, we do not offer any room without side or front sea view to our customers.

We also take note about your comments about the gym, really it is very difficult to keep well the machines where everybody use them and not always well, we will try to improve in this matter.

Our Kind regards,

We have just returned from our 3rd New Year visit to the SA. Each year it just gets better for us. From the moment we arrived we were in chill out mood. We were greeted by friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. My mobility scooter was parked in reception ready for use. Over the years we have made many new friends and it was great to see that they had all returned for christmas and new year.
Breakfast is 5 star. Fresh fruit, cereals, seeds, nuts, freshly cooked breads and pastries. Hot dishes had something for everyone from traditional to on the spot omelette making.
Dinner was excellent as well with something for everyone. The New Years Gala was spectacular
everything was professionally organised, no corners were cut.
Johnny is the heart and soul of SA, he is a true professional encouraging all to participate and so new bonds are made. For my husband and son the highlight was the boules . We were very sad leaving and cannot wait to return in December to meet all the excellent people who run the SA and to meet once again old friends and hopefully make a few new ones as well

my girfriend and have just returned from spent the new year at vik san antonio .we will to start with saying a very big thank you to all the wonderful staff and management .we had a splended stay at the hotel from the firwworks on new years eve to the motown show . so where do i start great locaion . right on the beach, relaxing pool area even the hotel was full plenty of sunbeds around pool area so nobody felt crowded. great drinks and food the only slight downside was size of the restaurant can get crowded at peak times for breakfast and evening meals but we just went down a bit later so problem solved. cant say enough about all the staff from reception/bar staff/waiters/cleaners all a credit to the hotel .

We have just returned from another fantastic holiday at the Hotel San Antonio. This is our 6th visit to this hotel over the past 10 years and our 3rd Christmas/New Year trip. This tme we took friends with us who have never been to Lanzarote before, so we were a little dubious, as our idea of a great hotel, might differ to theirs. However, we are delighted to say, they absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back! Staff greeted us like long lost friends so it feels like going home each time we visit. Foods was excellent and cannot understand how anyone could ever complain. Breakfasts to die for, and so much choice in the evening you don't know where to start (or stop!).
The New Years Gala was absolutely wonderful with Lobster on the menu and complementary drinks all evening. The fire work display at midnight was just amazing and we all had wonderful evening seeing in the new year.
The hotel is well placed at one end of the Puerto Del Carmen strip, so plenty of walking into town, along to the harbour or going in the opposite direction makes a fab walk along the beach to stretch the legs and burn off some of the calories consumed!
Rooms could do with a little overhall soon, although all spotlessly clean. Fridge in the room along with a safe are available at a small weekly hire cost. Pool towels can be hired with a small returnable deposit, so need no to lug towels out in your case! These can be changed as ofter as you require, so no wet towels hanging round to try either.
All in all, this hotel never fails to disappoint us and can't wait to go back later in the year, as can't our friends - and definitely be back for Christmas/New Year 2013! Thank you to all the staff and Management.

We booked in November for a Christmas break left it late thought we could get a late deal Cruise we were wrong, but a 14night holiday at the Vik San Antonio came up we went out on the 13th December and left home in -5degrees got to Lanzarote it was 21degrees it just got better.I had been here last year with my girl friend in October and we didnt get very good weather but god was good we stepped off the plane to 21 degrees and it went up to 27 degrees we couldnt belive it.The most satisfing thing i got was thinking about back home all the people in the supermarkets getting stressed about the shopping for Christmas it gets worse every year take my advise and go away.
The Hotel was great we had a side sea view which was ok as we didnt go on the balcony as it was dark quite early and went cooler after 5pm but the room was clean and well equiped with a fridge we paid for and the safe we also paid for, bathroom was small but clean with a good shower and clean towels every day.Take a kettle if you loke a cuppa in the morning.
The food was very varied and plenty to choose from and every night they did a theme night we made a mistake and went out and had a curry up the road and the very next night curry was on and it was very tasty so dont waste your money going out. What i did like if you wanted to go out at night you could swap your evening meal for lunch time.Breakfast was just as good lots to choose from if you couldnt find anything there must be somethink wrong with you.Looking at other reviews ref the food been not hot enough i was useing the microwave and told many people about.
The pool area was kept very clean and also the pool the only thing i didnt like was the static umberellas as you have to move with the sun and you get in the way of people. The pool bar was clean and drinks were not to expensive and also the wine in the evening was not expensive either, most waiters and waitresses were very friendly.
The entertainment was of a high standard and we stopped in most nights that in most unusual for us also in the bar it was waiter service which i find much better.
The location of the hotel was good and we walked to the Harbour many times during the 2 weeks, we would have no hesitation in going back there ,but must say the weather was so good it would be hard to beat this 2 weeks in Lanzarote and feel we were very spoilt. After many holidays in the Canaries over the last 15 years this must beat all of them for the weather.
Just one complaint the gym had apperatus that was not working and i did put that on the feed back form, not that i use the gym but my partner is very keen and when it is advertised in the brochure i think they should get it repaired.
I must say the majority of people in the hotel had been there many times before that shows how good it is,i would strongly recomend this Hotel to anybody.

We have just returned from a New Years break at the San Antonio, the best things about this hotel are the staff and the location, in particular Sean on reception, nothing was too much trouble.

We had a suite, spotlessly clean and very nice if a little tired, but there needs to be some attention to detail, two TV’s, both remotes did not work and the pictures were so bad it was not worth watching, this might seem trivial but our daughter was taken ill and spent almost two days in bed so a TV that worked would have been a bonus, also the shower door was broken and would not close, both of these issues were resolved eventually but for a four star hotel this should not happen in the first place.

The pool area was very nice, with plenty of sunbeds and was very clean, the sea view out of this world.
The gym was rubbish, old tired equipment, with some unmatched free weights and two treadmills both very old, one out of order, and other too old to bother with, the rowing machine did not work either.

The biggest negative came because both myself and my daughter are Coeliac and require a strict gluten free diet, before I booked this holiday I e mailed the hotel reservation department and enquired if they could cater for our requirements and was told that If I contacted them a few weeks before we arrived they would get food in specially for us, ( I still have the email ) this did not happen, the reception staff knew nothing about it or the restaurant staff, once I had located the right person in the restaurant that could advise us, I was told all we could eat was plain fish, meat or chicken, no sauces and they were not sure about vegetables? I wonder how many non-coeliac’s would put up with being told that? After two days we cancelled the half board arrangements and just had breakfast.

Even this was fraught with difficulties, there was a table at breakfast with gluten free bread, muffin and cereal, but the bread and muffins were dry, the bread curling at the edges and there was no toaster, I was told to use the other toasters when I pointed this out, but that’s not possible because of bread crumbs and possible contamination.

This may seem a very negative review, and If you do not require a gluten free diet then most of my complaints are irrelevant, but I did my research before booking and feel we were let down, I would not have booked this hotel had I known that we would have so little choice for us to eat.

If anyone is interested the Italian restaurant Antica Trattoria about half a mile opposite towards the main town had a full gluten free menu, even beer what a treat.

One final point due to my daughters illness we missed most of the very expensive gala dinner, I pointed out we missed most of it and even had to call a doctor in, I asked if they would consider a partial re fund but was told no!

Based on our experience with this holiday, we won’t be returning to the San Antonio.

Room Tip: We had a suite, good size and very clean

Dear guest,

Thank you for writing your opinion, it is always very useful for us, in order to know what our guests think about the hotel.

We regret to know that you had not a good experience in the hotel, due to your special diet requirements. It is true that we have only some products adequate for these cases, and really we are not specialized in this type of diets, perhaps there was a misunderstanding with your request and we are very sorry about that. We will try to improve in this matter.

Best Regards,
