The Loma Verde (Green Oasis) complex has been sold for private ownership of the apartments. The new owners have formed a Community and the high standard of hygiene and maintenance is being kept up. Some owners do rent their apartments see owners direct web site for details. It has a lovely feel and the apartments and pool area are spacious with sea views. There is an Adult pool with a shallow end which beaches toward the deep end so it is ideal for all grades of swimmers. There is also a kids pool. The pool bar is now up and running, but you may need an interrupter for the Scottish accent !

Well located property.
It is on the top on a hill when coming back from the beech & old town so its probalbly not great for poeple who struggle with walking.

The rooms are scattered all over the property & the place feels really roomy
There are 3 pools & plenty of sun loungers to go around, there is a lovely feel to the pool areas.
The rooms are absolutley spottless & have balconies looking over the pools.

We went all inclusive, which I wouldn't reccomend for couples. the food was pretty basic & had little or not Canarian dishes, it was all chips & fried food, (the salad bar was pretty good). the pool side bars serve food all day. It would be perfect for a family with children.

There are plenty of restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the property & the old town is within walking distance - where you will find tapas bars & plenty of local, chinese & European restaurants.

All in all a clean frendly property with lovely apparments.

I would reccomend

me an my friend both aged 17 went on our first holiday alone to green oasis it was fantastic. After reading the bad reviews we were slightly worried but on arrival to the hotel we were pleasently suprised. The one bedroom appartment was huge and very clean. Being out of season it was very lively and we quickly made friends with a young family from shrewsbury and a group of boys from blackpool . The food was okay a large selection but alot of fish being hungover most days we just stuck to chips lots of salad and the desert was amazing. The bar and entertainment was funny we often joined in. The barman danny was cheerful and friendly but his one rule was he didnt do small mesures so if you ask for a small brandy your going to get a large very large they had a cocktail of the day which was a tad warm but adding ice sorted that out. They stopped serving alcohol around eleven which worked out fine as we just got a taxi to the main strip(3 euros) and the nightlife in puerto del carmen is the best you could wish for. We were planning on going back in April but are very sad to hear its closed down.

Booked at the Loma Verde for the new year. Very shocked to find that what they are advertising as the Loma verde is now closed and up for sale. The food was awful and always cold. The dining area was far to small, and on new years eve for the gala dinner you couldn't get a seat. The rooms were very basic and very damp. You couldn't hang your clothes in the wardrobe because of the smell. Have been on lots of all inclusive holidays and this was the worse by far. They definately need to look at what they are advertising as it is definately miss leading and false advertising.

Just got back from a week at Loma Verde. Hotel was not like advertised on there website. Reception was a tiny room, entertainment was on tiny stage in dinning hall if you could call it entertainment. Mini disco every night that was it. Food was ok if you like chips.Rooms very basic did smell of damp.We realised after a few days half the hotel had been closed and was being sold as appartments . Towels changed twice in the week, drinks were crap, most of the time soft drinks machine not working, wine was like vinergar. Glad was not there for 2 weeks.

  • Liked — plenty space in appartment
  • Disliked — food and drink also entertainment
  • Tips/Secrets — dont go

We booked this hotel through Appartments Abroad having found it cheaper with them than other agents.
Having read some of the previous reviews we wondered what we were going to - however we were pleasantly surprised. The appartment was spacious, well equiped and clean. The pool, appartments and surrounding areas were regularly cleaned.
The food was good, with a wide variety of choice. I have a lot of food intolernaces and didn't suffer at all all week - a minor miracle!
Large picnics were offered if we were out for the day.
The location of the complex was good, as it's away from the main busy tourist area. Although up a hill from the sea front - but then everything is up hill! It is near the bus station so easy to get buses to other places.
I wouldn't like to go in the height of summer but it suited us for when we went - it was good value for money!

Oh my God! Some Honeymoon!

Let me start with the room.....
It was generally clean but very basic and dated. Seventies style cupboard doors were hanging off the wall, the fuse box and trip switches were placed blatantly on the wall, not to mention the plaster crumbling from the walls, probably from the damp! Everyday when we woke up our clothes were damp, we tried leaving them in the kitchen arean and sitting area but neither helped. When we went out for a day and came back the apartment actually smelt damp.

I am assuming they have no double beds because even as honeymooners were were given two single beds we pushed them together and had fun trying to work out ways of having fun without falling down the gap between the beds but was not ideal.

Our all inclusive turned out not to be all inclusive after all because unless we wanted to be ill there was little point eating or drinking at the hotel. The food was never hot, rarely cooked properly and usually consisted of a choice between veal or fish.

The drinks were also poor, the soft drinks tasted like washing up liquid, the wine was like vinegar, and the for the amount of mixer you got with a spirit you may as well drunk the near half pint neat, ok, you got a lot, but the measures for a vodka and coke were oppsite to here with a small dash of coke and a load of vodka.

Entertainment was dreadful, you needed to be spanish or german to understand it and was usually children orientated so good for the younger ones if they can speak and understand the lingo. It was usually a disco with aweful spanish nursery rhime sounding songs.

Location is ok, its on the edge of Puerto del Carmen but you have to walk down a huge steep hill to get into the heart of the resort which is fine until its time to go back again!!! You need to be reasonably fit to stay at this hotel.

I dont rate this hotel at all.
