“Class at any time of day”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

My wife and I have eaten at Las Vegasin an evening before and always found it to be top class, but today just reinforced how top class and dedicated to the highest standards the place is. We had decided to take a morning stroll, and, as chance would have it, on the way back, we noticed that the folks at Las Vegas were setting up. We had a spot or two to visit, but decided to return in a few minutes and see whther it was going to be OK to pause for a beer and a light bite. This we did, and not only were we welcomed with open arms, nut the table was set for us as though we were going to indulge in one of Las Vegas sumptuous evening meals. Instead, we had a couple of beers and a Brie toasted sandwich (doesn't sound much, does it?) and I plumped for the stuffed red pepper.
Imagine our surprise when the presentation of the "toastie" turned out to be top class, and it was no ordinary sandwich, and, likewise, the simple idea of a stuffed pepper was presented in full-on five star style - and it was certainly worth much more than the paltry two euro price. If this is how the other half lives, than I want to join the other half. For two star prices, you get five star treatment and food and presentation. If I would have recommended Las Vega before, consider that recommendation trebled and diamond studded - Las Vegas is truly an oasis in a desert of mediocrity in PDC.

“1year on and it just gets better”
Reviewed August 6, 2012 via mobile

15 years ago when we first came to Lanzarote there was a restaurant called Las Vegas which numbered amongst it's staff 2talented and friendly waiters, 1 of whom produced arguably the best steak tartare for miles around. Inexplicably, a few years ago, Las Vegas closed. It was sorely missed. Last year, however, the two waiters reopened the restaurant, this time with a much improved menu, presentation to take your breath away, and a chef who is at the top of his game. Tonight, a year on, we ate there again, and, make no mistake, this is food of the highest quality, presented beautifully, and at a price that won't break your heart or your wallet. Would we recommend it? Unreservedly. Will we revisit? Absolutely. Should you go? There is no doubt - you would be remiss if you did not.

“Best Meal of the Holiday”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

We were in PDC for four weeks and had walked past the Las Vegas restaurant on many occasions but only went in the night before we left. That was a big mistake as it was the best meal of the holiday. The location of the restaurant does not do it justice as it is tucked away in a small square at the Casino end of the main strip and from the outside does not look very inviting.

However, the quality of the food was exceptional, it was beautifully presented and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. The menu was not the "same as every other restaurant" stuff which you get tired of after the first week. We were given delicious complementary tapas tasters while we waited for our meal and were even given a sample dessert dish at the end. If you are looking for something a little different to the run of the mill restaurants then this is the place. The prices are only very marginally higher - and are well worth it for a quality meal and superb service.

“Average”
Reviewed May 25, 2012

Going by previous reviews we must have caught them on a bad night. Salt baked sea bass was minuscule, vegetables extremely greasy, chicken tough as leather. The Irish tout did say " excellent presentation" which was correct just need the content and taste to match.
Going on the main course we received we didn't bother the desert menu.
