“Well worth the 3 visits”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Lanzarote for 14 nights, 3 of which we spent dining here. we noticed that the slow cooked lamb was off the menu & I asked the Manager, Mustafa, if it had lost it's popularity. He told me that they had cooked so many & so many went wthout being sold, so a waste but he did say the Chefs would be happy to make one up if we gave them time, so we did, all 4 of us & were not disappointed. meat falling off the bone, so tasty with a light cooking sauce & even better when red wine sauce was applied. I even tried the unusual fried cheese with Blueberry jam, what a surprise, very tasty. Excellent steaks, BBQ'd grouper fish, well everything on the menu!! Also, after the meal we recieved a complimentary bottle of Cava along with a large barraquito coffee, absolutely marvelous, the best on the Island & I have tried quite a few. Looking forward to our next visit in November. Enjoy your visit

“Unrivalled Quality Cuisine”
Reviewed June 20, 2012

My husband & I took a short trip in May to Lanzarote. Fortunately, he found this little gem of a restaurant. We ate here on 2 of the 5 nights that we had and would without fail have eaten here all 5 nights had we stumbled upon it sooner.
A genuinely wonderful, family-run restaurant where the pride in their work is evident in the quality of their fare and the friendly, but not intrusive, attention lavished on their customers.
We will be back!

“absolutely lovely”
Reviewed May 22, 2012

Tried El Marinero after reading good reviews and was so impressed returned twice more. Great welcome and excellent home cooked food. The first time we went we arrived late and were the only people left inside.we were still made to feel so welcome, were not rushed in any way and the food was great. The other 2 occasions were much busier but the great service and food was still there. Try the rabbit, it's simply lovely ! The owners are so charming and I guarantee you will be knocked out by this place, one of the best in the resort. cant wait to go back in October.
