Saw this high on the list on trip advisor and never been a fan of tapas let alone Caribbean so had a look and the menu catered for all our tastes. We were given a warm welcome , told the lady we were new and she gave us friendly and excellent advice, no over selling here. Had ribs, jerk chicken, salted cod, potatoes, coleslaw, pork, 5 spice beef and some incredible prawns with 2 soft drinks all under 50 euros. Incredible flavours and filled us up. Lovely place , wonderful food, good host , highly recommend it

“culinary heaven”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

this tiny little tapas bar tucked away in a little street in the old town of puerto del carmen is a must visit. it small but a very cosy atmosphere. the staff i assume are husband and wife make you very welcome. the husband is the chef and what an amazing chef he is, you must try the curried goat and lamb dish the meat so tender and you can taste the fresh herbs. the home made chilli sauce is a must if you like hot spicy food.the servings we had between us all were ample and we all got different dishes and shared. the chef came out and spoke asking ask if we enjoyed our meal and we all complimented his great cooking skills. i discovered this little hidden treasure a couple of years ago by chance, when they first opened and hardly no one there and this time the resturant was full and people had to be turned away. well worth a visit you won't be disappointed.

“Absolutely perfect”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

To be honest, I would have never stepped in this reggae cave for dinner without reading all these great comments in TA. It looks like a Jamaican coffee shop, but what delicious food is served there, wow. Chicken, 5 spice beef, dumplings, goat - you name it, all was very very good. Excellent wines, top class service and low prices, what more could you possible demand? Absolutely perfect!

“Outstanding”
Reviewed January 7, 2013 via mobile

We ate here in January there were four of us who have very little experience of caribbean food. . . And were we surprised and delighted. The food was extremely tasty and the waitress was very friendly and helpfull in suggesting food we might like without overselling us food. I doubt anyone who actually tasted the food would walk out of here as I have previously read shame you missed a treat. Will definitely return and to recommend friends who will be going to PDC later this year.

“A different take on tapas!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

Following all the reviews for this place that we found on Tripadvisor we decided we had to visit. We are really glad we did and even booked again for our hogmanay dinner.
We were met by a very welcoming host who was wonderfully helpful and informative. Like others we really enjoyed our first taste of curried goat, ordering a double portion on our return visit. Also of note were the ribs, five spice beef and delicious coleslaw. We played safe by having a couple of beers on our first visit and decided to try the rum punch the second time, it was absolutely delicious!
This was one of the best vale for money restaurants that we have ever eaten in, anywhere!
