“Good Food - Overpriced Drinks”
Reviewed June 6, 2014

My partner and I stopped off at Paddy's for some dinner. The specials posted on the chalk board looked appetizing and we went for the Guinness & Steak Pie and Turkey & Ham roast.

The food was homemade and really was delicious; I couldn't fault it and at 10.95 and 9.95 Euros, respectively for the meals, it represented great value for money.

The drinks, however, were grossly overpriced.

If we take two of the most expensive places in Puerto Del Carmen as a comparison - Dreams and Cafe La Ola - both of which are bigger, right on the sea front with stunning views and excellent ambiance.

Domestic draft Beer - Paddy price 3.50 - Elsewhere 2.00

Glass of white wine - Paddy price 4.00 - Elsewhere 2.45

Irish Coffee - Paddy Price 6.50 - Elsewhere 4.90

I would probably eat there again, but I wouldn't drink, because on a regular night I would save 30 Euros, have a better view and comfier surroundings.

“Crap food”
Reviewed June 6, 2014 via mobile

We had walked past this place a few times and were impressed by the contents of the menu. So we went for our evening meal. My wife ordered a chicken burger with garlic mayo. My teen son and myself opted for a 1/2 rack of baby ribs each. The chicken burger arrived and was nothing more than a small chicken breast in a burger bun couple of lettuce leaves a slice of Tom and a dollop of garlic mayo. At almost 11€ I thought it might have had a bit more to than than that. The ribs , well they wer look warm and tasteless. The hand made chips were the only thing on our plate that were enjoyable. We ordered a cocktail each which was amazing. But at 75€ we left feeling totally ripped off. Avoid !!!!!

“Avoid at all costs”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

Paddys Paradise it most certainly is NOT just home from a holiday in Lanzarote and we went to one of our favourite restaurants and what a disaster. Waiter brought us the menues and did not even clean down table cloth from previous diners, he was in a rush to get us to order which I found most annoying as it was just 7.30pm. When we did order our food it took ages and the food was cold and bland and the restaurant had 4 other diners in it at the same time. There was absolutely no atmosphere and had some match on the television of which we had no interest whatsoever. This used to be great with lovely jolly welcoming staff and the food WAS first class but not anymore. I would not recommend it to anyone and would not go back again. VERY POOR.

“Not the Paradise it was”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

Location wise, Paddy's Paradise is in a great spot to watch the world go by, but the food is not the same quality as it was in previous visits. Service was good, but the quality of the food is letting them down. Even the table cloths have gone!

We would have previously dined here almost every day of our vacation, but not any more.

“Nice Breakfast After A Long Walk”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

Following a long walk - called here for breakfast - not our first visit - food is always nice - lots of it and of course a lovely view. Nice waitress - would not eat here at night as it shows sport in the evening - pity really as the menu looks good.
