Visited Sapporo Japanese restaurant again on our latest visit to Matagorda. Unfortunately, standards seem to have fallen considerable in the last 12 months. Visited twice within five days on the off chance that first visit was a once-off disappointment but unfortunately, our experience on the second visit was a s bad, if not worse than the first visit. The organisation within the restaurant seems to have completely deteriorated. Examples: Orders from different tables being mixed up, starters delivered to couples at tables one by one instead of together, items listed on menu "not available" when ordered, service very slow, very young and inexperienced waiting staff with little or no English language skills and very poor overall impression of inexperience and innefficiency given on both visits to restaurant. The young Japanese lady who was previously organising the efficient running of the restaurant was not ther on our latest visits and she is very badly missed. She seems to have been replaced by very inexperienced people and the quality of service has deteriorated greatly. We have always found this restaurant to be excellent and would visit it several times on our regular holidays to Matagorda but based on our two last visits, we would not visit it again.
