The apartments are well laid out clean apartments with comfy beds. It is only a short 5 mins walk to the matagorda centre and sea front. Our room came with fridge, toaster, microwave and 1 hobs. We had a bottom floor room with terrace in the shade and the top floor rooms had balconies in the sun. Pool area nice but pool could do with a paint although it is kept very clean. The restaurant looked nice although difficult to comment as we only had a breakfast and cheeseburger and chips which were nice. Special recommendations go to the jazz bistro for a good local restaurant, the Aussie bar for its location and fruit smoothies and for an outstanding restaurant location try Tereza playa restaurant in puerto del carmen as it is right on the beach.

We booked with OTB, and we cannot fault it. With Lanza being our home from home, we look for a clean, comfortable base with all the essentials and some peace and quiet at night. The rooms are basic yet very clean, our cleaners visited almost everyday. The restaurant staff are very welcoming and eager to make your visit enjoyable. The food is so good, the locals and other guests use it. Prices are good too. We always hire a car and the ample parking suits many of its guests. The only thing we can comment on is the pool is a little smaller than we fort thought and in desperate need of a good paint and the cleaners wake u early on with their banter and trollies however, this helps us not waste the day in a slumber! We would definitely stay here again. Good value, clean yet basic but well tended apartments! Thank you guicameta. We are actually still here while we write this and have a good few days left to soak it all up!

This was our 1st time in Lanzarote and chose these apartments on the strength of reviews, we were not disappointed. Although this is listed as a 2 star apartment it is far better than that. Rooms are basic but clean with loads of electric sockets, beds are a bit firm and with only 1 pillow but ask at reception for extra ones no problem. Pool was cleaned each day with plenty of sunbeds. We ate out of complex on our 1st week but changed to on site restaurant after their saturday bbq ( eat all you want and I did! ) It was good value (10e), good food, good service and a lot cheaper. All the staff were very efficient and friendly and the chef on two occasions made a dish for me which wasn't on the menu. We thought that our apartment was the best, as it not only overlooked the pool, had sea views and also caught the best of the sun (number 41). The only down side was the sofa bed, when set up, wasn't very comfortable and would be doubtful if it would fit two adult. We think the sofa bed would be ok for one teenager or adult or two small children.

Room Tip: room 42 sea views, plane spotting, pool view and full day sunshine

these apartments are great, they are not uphill and are very secure, with a locked gate and a security man at night. only one problem we only had one room key which meant we could not go out and come back seperately had to make a time for meeting.
The apartments are clean and the maids are very friendly as are the other staff. Did not use the pool so cannot comment but the cafeteria was clean and the food was lovely, worth the little money it cost and there was loads of it, so if you are a small eater it is like 2 meals. had only one complaint and it was dealt with with 10 min. we have booked to back this year again.

Room Tip: i loved room 8 it had large shaded patio and looked right down the street so you could see who was c...

As previously stated by others, large clean apartments, good location, small shop on site for few necessary items, bar/restaurant good breakfast. We had 2 apts - 30 / 36 ground floor, cool from midday sun, not all apts have kettles/coffeemakers, shower ceilings need a lick of paint (damp).
No air conditioning, fans for rent. Towels changed x 2 weekly, sheets not changed during the very hot week. Overall would go back.

Room Tip: Lower apts shaded, upper apts lots of sun

Just returned from a week's stay at the Guacimeta and I pretty much echo what the majority of the other reviews say. We stayed in a first floor apartment which definitely seemed the better option and had a nice terrace overlooking the pool. The apartment was perfectly spacious for 2 people although I could see it being cramped if there are any more of you. It was well equipped, we didn't really use the kitchen area other than the fridge but there was no kettle - so tea lovers beware, you'll need to take a travel kettle with you!

The bathroom was also spacious with a really good shower and decent size basin area, good to have for all of your beauty essentials! The towels were changed every 2 days and the bed made every 2 days although I don't think the sheets are changed but this doesn't really matter unless you are a grubby person!

Overall these are great apartments if you do not want luxury, they are spacious and tidy and the complex pretty pleasant. If I was to make any comments on improvements it would be that certain areas require a lick of paint, particularly the pools but that didn't stop most people including myself from going in them. I think it would be a nice idea for the owner to maybe offer his guests a free drink or something to welcome them there and get them into the onsite bar/restaurant which we didn't once go in. A little PR goes a long way!!

The location of the apartments is a short, less than 5 minutes walk to the beach and shops/restaurants/bars of Matagorda. There is a good selection if you are happy to stay local but we liked to go into Puerto del Carmen which is a few km's down the road. We walked this (good exercise if you avoid the hottest part of the day!) and there are lots more options for shopping and eating and good choice of bars with some really cheap offers. The Cafe de Ola and Dreams bars/restaurants are fantastic for a great view over the ocean with a cocktail, opening during the day ane to late in the evening. I can't comment on the food there, we did try and eat there twice but if you attempt this in that time in between the afternoon and evening rush they neglect you a bit so we left!!

The beaches are all really clean and are some of the widest I have ever seen! My 2nd warning - there are no sun lounger/umbrella facilities anywhere along the whole of the del Carmen resort so get yourself a couple of folding chairs or inflatables if you don't like lying on the sand!

My 3rd and final warning is this was one of the windiest places I have ever been! I don't think it's always like it but the whole resort of Matagorda was like a windy day in England most of the time which although kept it cool at night it did become quite irritating and actually a bit chilly when the sun went down. Seemed to get less windy the further away we went!

Overall a nice place and good value for money. Enjoy!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room if possible and stairs aren't a problem.

I have literally just got home after a stay at the guacimeta hotel.

i stayed here with my partner and i cannot fault this complex.

upon arrival the receptionist was very friendly and gave us the keys to our room, which was very tidy and clean, with plenty of towels and nice clean bedding.

we booked this trip to be half board, and were pleasntly surprised with how friendly the young lady waitress was during the evening meal, she couldnt help us enough and enjoyed chatting to us about our day. The chef was also excellent and all his food cooked freshly, tasted excellent and was worth every penny.

the rooms and pool etc are very clean and tidy.

all in all this is an excellent base for your holiday, is in easy access of every lanzarote has to offer, and i will definately be back here, and will stay here again, i loved it.!!!!! worth every single penny!!!!!!

Room Tip: all rooms are roughly same and are very clean
