We have just got back from Lanzarote and ate at Casa Carmen a lot.
The menu is so varied, something to suit everyone, they have a snack menu and also a full and varied menu, everything is freshly cooked, using the best of ingredients and the head chef/owner takes a lot of pride & care in his food. He will try to accommodate any special requests if it is possible.
The fish in beer batter is excellent; Chicken in Roy’s sauce is lovely and like all the items on their menu served with a choice of potatoes, fresh veg and rice. The filet steak is so lean, well presented and compared to some other places on the strip excellent value for money at around 13 euros. Paella is made fresh and served at your table.
They have a breakfast special at 2.95 euros using British bacon and sausage, 2 eggs, hash brown and beans, they open for breakfast at 10 am. They also do English, Scottish and Irish breakfast.
Karim and Omar work well to ensure the customers have excellent service, remembering little things from previous visits, small things like how many sugars you have, how you like your coffee. They try and make your visit enjoyable and take pride in their work. If you consider they are working in a holiday resort, where customers all speak different languages, their abilities are amazing to watch them ensure all nationalities feel special and talk to them in their own language!
This restaurant is getting more popular and last week, people were making reservations to ensure they got a table in this little gem of a restaurant.
