Went there with my family and couple of friends. Drove 5 hours from Manila (including stop-over lunch at Lipa & "not-so-speedy" driving)....welcome drink is really good! Staff were really friendly and the service is excellent. Checked-in in the "estancia" room....it was really nice...everything looks neat and clean.....design of the room is beautiful with ample natural lighting...... great for family and/or close friends....food in the resto was also great with a wide variety of good food to choose from...price of the buffet is really worth it.....had fun at the swimming pool and walk by the beach.....didn't get to do other water activities since wind and wave is strong (Typhoon NALGAE-QUIEL in northern Luzon) but we enjoyed every bit of stay here.

From inquiring, reserving, until finalizing, the lady by the name of Anna Lourdes Manansala was truly very patient in making asikaso to us especially with all the changes i have to make due to the big number of participants that we have in our company outing. All the promises that this resort advertises ARE ALL TRUE! From food to personnel to facilities to your SAFETY, ACUATICO is truly excellent. Lifeguard is always around and very watchful. My colleague was on the steps of the pool when she accidentally lose her balance, not a swimmer, and voila, lifeguard is there to rescue her right away. But even after that incident, the LG was still watchful. No need to bring towels and toiletries. They replenish/replace them everyday. A very intimate place. Sulit ang bayad niyo! what you see in photos is what you get. Beautiful ambiance.

Room Tip: any room will do. though there are some with very small bathroom.

Service is commendable. Staff are friendly. They are prompt when you have a request.

The rooms are a luxury. Great design for the villas. Great view from rooms/villas. It's nice to lounge from your veranda or patio and look at the beach or the mountains whether day or night. Bed and pillows are really comfy. Cable for tv is available as well as free wifi. They used a lot of cross ventilation and natural lighting on the rooms, perfect for vacation. Towels are soft and fluffy. I enjoyed taking a shower from the rainshower design of the shower head. Toilet though is a bit cramped in some rooms. Faucet is grounded too so asked for maintenance staff and fixed it right away.

We really enjoyed the infinity pool and took a lot of great shots whether day or night. We love the bar on the pool even if the drinks are pricey as expected. They let us eat our chips together with our beers.

BEACH
The beach is so-so because the sand is not so fine. The water is clear though compared during summer when we went here last which is a bit cloudy. The beach has steep slope be careful but lifeguard is always there.

FOOD
Meals are buffet type and they taste real good! They serve Batangas bulalo as well as medium sized shrimps. The food didn't disappoint. Coffee and hot choco in the morning is real nice. View from the dining area is excellent, infinity pool and beach!

Room Tip: book early ang get rooms with sea view.

My high school friends and I stayed here overnight (it was our first vacation together, wow!) and given the fact that we only had that much time to catch up with each other's lives, I could say that staying in this resort pretty much made that one day simply unforgettable and an instant treasure trove of fond memories.

The resort was fairly easy to get to; just follow the directions and the map that they have in their website. If you have a driver with you, accommodation is not a problem for him since for P1,200/night, he gets bedspace at a separate building w/ set dinner and breakfast, plus access to the resort itself.

Check-in was a breeze and we were each given pandan-flavored welcome drinks which pretty much took away the stress of having to travel on a humid day, but the real eye-popper is when you actually get in to the resort area. The pools were just wow! Great balinese-inspired architecture complements the layout of the pools (they have 3: the kiddie pool, the 4-feet pool in front of the Acua bar and the 5.5-feet infinity pool, all of which are interconnected), plus the outdoor jacuzzi w/ the fountain in front of the Oceano restaurant.

We stayed at the Estancia B villa which was simply breathtaking in itself. It wasn't huge, but it was big enough; to be looking for more space is to be nit-picking. It did have 3 sleeping spaces: 2 at the ground floor (one had a queen-sized bed, the other had twin beds), and another on the 2nd floor (with a queen-sized bed). It also has a viewdeck on the 2nd floor with a view of the pool and the beach, and a lanai with seating for 4. The villa's common T/B in the ground floor had 2 shower stalls and 2 toilet cubicles. There was no refrigerator because you're not supposed to bring in food and drinks anyway. Sleep quality was good, the bed was comfy and it was quiet, since there aren't any nighttime activities past 10pm.

I read from some of the reviews here that the buffet spread at the resort's Oceano restaurant isn't impressive, but I guess the resort owners/managers took that in mind and made improvements. While the choices were not super extensive, they did have a good selection when we were there (about eight entrees, plus rice, pasta, and a reasonable dessert spread). And the food itself was yummy too! All reasonable for P575 a pop, especially when you consider that ordering a la carte (sandwiches & pasta only) will set you back around P300/item.

Use of the resort's kayak and pedal boats are free, and all-day coffee and hot tea is also complimentary. I didn't get to have a massage at their Simona Spa, but my friend did get an in-room massage from one of their masseuses and she said it was great.

There isn't much to rant about; personally, I only have two, but nothing that can't be easily remedied: (1) the lock on our villa's front door was a little challenging to open with the keys, and (2) the water in the jacuzzi must be set to a warmer setting, especially in the evenings. The beach was ok; note that Laiya's beach does not have powdery fine sand but more like small pebbles, so venture into places beyond Acuatico's beachfront at your own risk (or just think of the trek as getting some sort of a foot spa... hehe).

Kudos to the efficient management and staff, who all made out stay unforgettable. They were all ready to assist with a ready smile. I'm looking forward to going back, perhaps with my other set of friends or with my significant other. One thing you can expect from me is a good word-of-mouth. :-)
