As far as finding good German food in Brussels area, that is a difficult challenge. Eva und Wolfgang pull it off very well and as such from the time we met them (spring 2010) we have had nothing but wonderful experiences at their place. They have in that time moved but overall it's gotten bigger and better!
Now at the new place in Zaventem, they have a larger seating area and a smaller (for now) Bier Garten but the food immer geschmackvoll ist!!!!
Sticking with the menu, there are many special and wonderful German and Bavarian dishes to keep you and your tastebuds busy. If you are picky and willing to wait, offer a challenge of something related but different than the menu and again I dare say you will be so very pleased. Whenever the spouse and I go venturing, we are not only happy but stuffed quite well.
It can be a bit of a bother up front to have to order the entree and then the sides but when one considers the quantitiy and quality (love the Germans for these) then it's still a deal.
The beverage card is a tad slim but one can't have everything and afterall did you go to eat or to drink. There are good (Bavarian) selections as it is. Sit back, relax and let the staff take good care of you. I dare say they shall so long as you let them and work with them just a bit.
True enough, we love the German cusines so that shades this slightly but even taking into account places in Germany we frequent, this is a good find. Reservations are required most days! That should tell you something....Parking is also very limited and tight.
