As soon as i walked into the sheraton, i knew i wouldn't like it here. The atmosphere is depressing, partly to do with the poor lighting, the low ceilings, the brown and grey furniture and the overall architecture of the place. My room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom was basic and felt clinical with its white tiles. Heating was super loud so i had to switch it off at night. I had booked lounge club access, but didn't enjoy it. Choice of beverage and snacks was unimaginative, and used glasses, banana peels and half-eaten sandwiches littered the room. Finally, the sheraton's restaurant is cold, both in atmosphere and temparature. Dinner was average and breakfast poor... On the plus side, staff was very friendly and the proximity to the airport is really convenient for early flights. But clearly, the sheraton does not meet the standards that it advertises on its website, and yet the rates are the ones of a high-quality five star property. A big disappointment.

The Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel is a real airport hotel, meaning that it's really located directly at the airport, unless many "airport" hotels where you hav to take a minibus you can enter the hotel entrace directly through the arrivial area without getting wet.
The reception was very warm & welcome. I arrived shortly after noon and they made it possible to already check-in so I could leave my luggage in the room, which was very comfortable as I didn't have to take it to my meeting in Brussels.
The rooms have been renovated and look very nice: large desk, large TV and a very comfortable bed, fast internet (30 min free, 10€ / day lowspeed, 15€ / day highspeed) - all you need for a business trip.
Of course you do not have a nice view as it's directly located at the airport, never the less the rooms are very quiet, you don't hear anything from the airport.
You can also use their gym 24/7 with your keycard.
Breakfast the next morning was also great: a large variaty of rolls, meat, fruits, etc. - all very delicious.
I haven't tried to dinner at the restaurant, but if you look for cheaper alternatives there's a large variaty at the airport incl. a supermarket.

Booked one night at the Sheraton (Fri 8 Nov), had a little trouble finding the Hotel from the Airport signage, due to the ongoing building works at Brussels Airport. Once inside, the reception, though small was welcoming and warm. Check in was very smooth and I was given Room 3008, as I exited from the elevator you could smell the newness of the carpet in the lobby, the room was clean and bright with good quality carpets and furnishings, a recent upgrade methinks. Room 3008 overlooked the entrance to the Airport, though the glass was triple glazed, I never heard a thing. Had dinner in the Restaurant, the staff seemed to be rushed off their feet though there wasn't many people eating. Many guests were simply sitting at the bar watching the sport on the TV and drinking. Did have to wait some time before my drink was brought to me and that was after informing the waiter that I'd ordered 10 minutes earlier. He apologised and brought my drink with my dinner which was a delicious Flemish Beef Stew. Had a very restful night and even though breakfast was included in the price of my room, as I had an early flight to London next morning, I decided to skip this. Check out was again, efficient, though the receptionist did struggle with finding some change for my Euro 68 bill after I'd given him Euro 80 notes, guess people pay with Credit Cards these days lol. Overall, a nice hotel, extremely convenient for the airport, good staff and decent rooms.

Room Tip: If you want views of the runway, ask for a higher floor room

Have stayed here several times in the last few months. Pluses: 1) If you are an SPG member and they have a room available they may let you move into your room immediately after your flight arrives in the early morning. 2) you can get extra sleep before walking across the street to check in to your outgoing flight. 3) restaurant is good or you can eat in the airport cafeteria to save several euros. 4) you can escape the tourist hourds downtown. Minus: 1) the hotel internet has very low signal quality and speed compared to most all other hotels -- and you have to pay for it. Sheraton really needs to do something about that.

it started ok..i was checked in, ok room, no outside windows but one night its ok. Then we met the staff in the restaurant...insistent we give a room number when we wanted to give a credit card, then the guy in the bar didnt know what a carafe was so we could decant the wine and neither did his colleagues, the food was awful and there seemed to be odd people walking around with very little security checks...not sure i would stay here again unless needs must

Very nice and clean property across the street from the airport check in desks. Beds comfortable. I would stay there again just from the convenience aspect. The restaurant in the hotel was good. The staff were friendly.

We had an unexpected stop in this hotel, as our evening flight was cancelled by Brussels Airlines minutes before the boarding time.

The compensation package from the airline included dinner and breakfast, besides the room itself.

The good:

- The room was up to Sheraton category, well equipped with a comfortable bed. Bathroom was ok, nothing much to say about it.

- The hotel is located just outside the arrivals hall, and it can be reached after crossing one street. It is great not to rely on internal buses, especially if checking-in late in the evening.


The not-so-good:

- Check-in process was really slow. It was late in the evening and our 3-month baby was crying, yet we were asked to wait in the line and later on we were requested to fill the typical forms (even after I proposed to fill them later on).

- Dinner was basically a poor buffet (with 2 cold and 2 hot dishes), served in a conference room where there was not even a single representative from the hotel. It was basically just the food, which was not even warm enough, and some tables where you were supposed to bring your own plate, fork and knife.

- No internet in the rooms. Free wi-fi was supposed to be available in the lobby, though it did not work right away for my wife, and she had to ask the front desk staff to fix it.


This is of course a special review, as we stayed in the hotel for only a few hours and it was due to the crappy planning of Brussels Airlines. However, airport hotels should be used to deal with these situations, and this Sheraton struggled in many aspects.
