“We had to wait an hour for the main course !!!”
Reviewed April 17, 2014

The restaurant was very nice and the waiter helped us with the menu. We ordered some first dishes and main courses. We received the first dishes and then we had to wait an hour for the main course. It turns out that the restaurant was full and they weren't expecting such a turn out. We were among the first to arrive and the last to leave ... some tables which arrived 30-40 minutes after we did got their orders before us.

“Good food, convenient location, should take American Express”
Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

Good food. Convenient separate room for walking dinner for 19 persons. 50 euros per head including a tolerable syrah, and a glass of cava to open. The tuna and noodles was a highlight.

“Discrete, business, tasty”
Reviewed October 17, 2013 via mobile

Excellent location next to the canal, underground parking, roomy and bright decor. Limited, but well thought off menu at reasonable for Brussels area prices. Service is very friendly, although somewhat poorly organized as the table has been approached by different waiters with the same questions (after the orders were placed). The guy who brought dishes managed to mix up as to who ordered them...
Good size portions, excellent taste! Overall, a very positive experience despite the rain outside....

“Nice location, good food”
Reviewed October 8, 2013 via mobile

Went with a client for lunch. Brasserie with good food, quiet atmosphere, discrete and fast service. Same prices as any good brasserie in neighbourhood, count 30 Euro for main dish and drinks.

“An asset for Vilvoorde”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

Vilvoorde is not the most attractive city in the world and its culinary landscape was a bit desertlike until recently. In the new development area of the city, along the canal (Brussels-Willebroek) a modern waterside brasserie was just the thing that was missing to make the area more attractive. Then came Canal. The restaurant is large and lofty. The large windows, the light tones in the interior (with a lot of white and light oak) make it a very nice place to be, especially in summer.
The menu offers a rather limited choice yet the special selection of beef cuts looks impressive. For a brasserie the prices are quite high.
The service was quick and professional. The food was OK but nothing special to be honest. I will go back to Canal since it stands out in the Vilvoorde area. But that says as much about the Vilvoorde area as about Canal.
