Owner description: “Come on kids, there’s lots to see and do. Your adventure is just beginning!” Bet you’ve never heard a goat yodel or a potato talk, but you will at Sundown Market, and with your help all the animals in the musical pet shop will join in the chorus of their very own song. Explore the Rodeo Corral Indoor Play Area and climb aboard the Rocky Mountain Railroad, but hold onto your hats folks, those pesky bandits are popping up everywhere. Be careful not to wake the dragon as you enter the Lollipoppet castle with all its smells of candy. Then its on to the Tractor Ride for a trip around the countryside before talking to the animals on our Animated Farm. Grab those bows and arrows and climb aboard the Robin Hood Ride to join Robin and his merry men as they travel through Sherwood Forest. Then its onto Crash Landings – our fantastic four storey indoor play area and cafe, climb and explore the jungle where you may get a surprise from a cheeky monkey or a slippery snake. Run, swing and play in our bright and colourful Angry Birds Activity Park. Take a spin on the Okie Yolkie ride and bounce along on the Giddy Piggies ride. Don’t Forget to sing and dance along with the Monkeys at Monkey Mischief. Ahoy there! Time to take to the Jolly Pirate Ride – but you better watch out, for who knows were those wicked pirates are lying in wait with a surprise or two! Don’t forget your buckets and spades – you’ll need them in Captain Sandy’s Play Cove. But no one can be scared of the delightful little friends whose lovely scenes lead us through the seasons on to the magical Sleigh Ride through Santa’s traditional winter wonderland, hey, what's that reindeer doing in bed?! when your ready for a break, take the kids for a snack or a treat in one of our cafes or shops where there are lots of goodies available. Also don’t forget, we’re open at Christmas, so come along and ride our fantastic night before Christmas ride before visiting Santa in his Lovely home and receive a free gift for all children aged 2 to 10 years .

“Very busy place”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Another good day out for the family, but it gets VERY busy in summer holidays and hot weather. Its great for the whole family, lots to see and do but take your own food cos it's chip chips and more chips at the cafe and a costly event if theres a few of you

“Great Day Out for Little Ones”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Recommended by a friend who had been many years ago, so we were not sure what to expect. We visited on Easter Saturday. Our little grandson is just over two but had a whale of a time. The place was spotless - possibly because it was the beginning of the season but very impressed with all parts of the park. There was plenty for toddlers and we could have spent a whole day easily keeping him amused. We just ran out of time. We had just over an hour's drive to get there and, as it is rather in the middle of nowhere, we did wonder if the journey would be worth it - but YES definitely! We will be taking him and our other grandchild there again. For the under 10s - a perfect day out for all the family and excellent value. We'll try to get there earlier next time!!

“Amazing value for money and best day out for young children”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

My family and I have been here numerous times and have never been dissapointed. Its great value for money and you get alot for what you pay. There is so much for the kids to do and going at christmas is magical. My daughter always asks to go back here and I must say I love it just as much!

“suprisingly good fun”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

After reading through some of the poor reviews on here I was very dubious about visiting Sundowne for the 1st time today, but we'd already promised the kids a visit so we chanced it and we've had a terrific day. We arrived around 12.00 and stayed through til 5pm and could have stayed a couple more hours. Our 8yr old daughter, 7 & 8 yr old nephews and 2 yr old son were delighted, the older kids loved forte apache, crash landings playbarn, angry birds park and even the lollipop castle, fairy tale village and the market place kept them occupied for a good while. Our 2 yr old loved the animated displays, musical shows and all the little buildings to explore. The rides are very gentle and everyone had a smile & a laugh on the way round.
Yes the park is a little old fashioned and if your looking for thrill rides then this isn't the place to come for them, but if you're happy to use your imagination, let your kids explore & run off some energy and have a relaxed, amusing day then Sundowne is as good a place as any.
The park looks clean, well cared for and is well has plenty to keep you occupied for a good few hours. We took a picnic and bought drinks at the cafe, we didn't pay for food but prices were pretty reasonable and the eating areas were clean & well equipped.
All in all a lovely day out for family's with young kids, we will definitely head back there in the summer!

“Lovely outdoor playground with under 3 rides, not exciting for older ones”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

We went to Sundown Adventureland in april 2013 with a 4 and 5 year old and three adults, two of those my elderly parents.
As we live quite close it was a last minute decision to go to Sundown Adventureland and it took us about 30 minutes. There is ample parking and no big crowds.
Entree fee was about 11.95 each for the adults and kids over 2, so no discounted childrens fees which is a shame.
The entrance is quaint with some little houses with interactive displays (kids push a button and a story is told or a sound is heard) and this theme of interactive story telling displays is continued throughout the park. Which is fun but for a 4 and a 5 year old just not interesting enough. They did love the western part of the park.

The rides are mostly trains through certain settings, farms, robin hood etc. These rides would be great for under 3's but our little ones weren't greatly impressed but enjoyed it nonetheless (I should mention that we went to Thomasland a month ago and they compared it to the rides there but the entrance fee is of course much higher).

The indoor soft play is great, a huge area with loads to do for the little ones and a nice area for adults to have a quick coffee. We decided to also have lunch here which I wish we hadn't. We ordered burger meals for each of us and they were really poor quality resulting in no one eating theirs and only the chips were eaten. I would definitely recommend just having a sandwich there or bringing your own.

The outdoor play areas, especially the new angry birds play area, are all really lovely. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and loads to do. there are tables and chairs and benches to have a pick nick at and I am sure that on warm summer days, it will be a great day out.
As the weather was just too cold to spend too much time outdoors, we spend about 4 hours in the park before heading home.

We won't be going again but if you are a family with under 3's, I would absolutely give it a go as we saw little ones squealing with laughter.
The entrance price is realistic (although I feel that kids should pay less) for a fun day out on a warm day.
