Great overnigth stay after docking in Cherbourgh. The room was clean and tidy, the beds comfortable and clean good sized bathrooms. There was three beds in one room and twon beds in the other. The breakfast next morning was excellent with lots of choice. The staff were helpful and pleasant. Good hotel for the channel crossing.

We spent two nights in this hotel as we were touring the area. It is nice and handy for the ferry to Roslaire. The room on the first floor looked a bit dingy on the outside but was clean and tidy on the inside. The twin room was well set out and comfortable. The bathroom is a good size with a decent shower. We had dinner on our last night and to treat ourselves had the gourmet menu @ €25. You get a buffet starter, main course from the menu and buffet desert. The buffet starter is not very good and should be given a miss. My friend had the steak and found it tough my fish was tasty but I asked for a salad and got only an assortment of lettuce. The range of desserts is good and a better option would have been the plat de jour and the desserts @ €15pp. I was surprised that when paying €25pp they charged extra for the 2 coffees.

Room Tip: Take a room on the first floor overlooking the carpark it gets the sun.

We chose this hotel as a stop over before catching the ferry home and it was fine. Good parking, well equiped bathroom, the room was big plenty of room for all our motorcycle clothes.

The meal was fine nice starter and desert buffets and good chese plate, as someone else said not the cheapest place for drinks but the wine of the month was good.

I would stay here again

After many years the hotel has deteriorated. We found black spot mould on the bedroom walls next to the foldaway bed ,the wall at the head of the bed, above the door area, in the wardrobe area, and in the bathroom. There was mould around the window surround and on the security blind. A light had been mended with what appeared to be putty. The rooms were smelly probably due to the mould and lack of ventilation. The showers left the bathroom floors a slippery wet hazard.

This used to be a basic but clean budget hotel. Now it does not meet any of these, it's now unpleasant and not cheap.

We booked this hotel because of its convenience as a stopover on our way from the English midlands to friends in central Normandy - our ferry arrived in the late evening and it fulfilled our needs very well. By chance we met some Austrian friends on a garden tour of western europe and they were equally pleased with the facilities available.

Loved the king size bed and crisp white bed sheets, basic room but clean and good value for money, just perfect for a short stay, poor wifi and TV signal , bar prices too high. but loved my stay and will use again for sure.

My wife and I stayed in room 27 on the 25th July 2012, having booked on line in Campanile's "Summer Sale", paying just 49 Euros which was less that the B&B just down the road.
The Hotel is located on the side of a hill, so those with rooms on the front (and especially on the first floor) have great views of the surrounding countryside. We had requested a ground floor quite room, and were given a ground floor room around the back, with views only of a grass banking. Still it was cool, and important consideration as this hotel has no air-conditioning and the only way to darken the room to sleep is to close the exterior shutter, but then you get no air-flow. The big spoiler was that room 27 is interconected to room 28, and the doors are no barrier to sound, especially as room 28 last night had a married couple and their two teenage girls. We were awoken at 06.00 by their boisterous start to the day!!
The room itself was somewhat tired, but the large bed was comfy, and the bed linen of good quality. Pity the towels didn't match this quality level.
For our evening meal we drove the 7 k's to Cherbourg, so gave the hotel's restaurant a miss, but it was popular, the daily special being Grilled Pork , and the usual Campanile huge plate of excellent french fries (We'd " French Fried-out" the previous evening at another Campanile). However we did still enjoy the free drink that is offered via a token in the room.
So location not very good (But OK for the ferry terminal), Hotel not very smart and noisey if you're unlucky with your neighbours, but with this offer - cheap. I think that next time we'll try somewhere else.

Room Tip: Ask for a front facing room on the first floor.
