“Good for a short overnight stop off”
Reviewed August 2, 2012

Good location in you just want an overnight stopover. Rooms were spacious, bar was expensive, breakfast quickly ran out of food. There was a small outdoor pool which we didn’t use, and plenty of parking. Check-out took a while as reception was unmanned.

Good things first: guest room and its facilities were fully satisfactory, nice and clean. Sleeping comfort was OK. The hotel has a small outdoor pool, which was nice to use after a long hot summer day. Around/next to the pool a nice lawn to play on with the kids.

Location is a bit out-of-town, car definitely required.

However, must down-grade overall of the hotel because of significant shortcomings of the kitchen. Biggest mistake was that we decided to dine in their restaurant. Menu in French only, but worse than that is that the food was really poor quality. Our family dinner was completely wasted, had better gone to town or even McD. Tasteless dry fish, microwave-reheated rice, but all for the price of a legitimate restaurant meal. Disgraceful! Anybody can cook better than that! Avoid by all means, rather go to bed hungry, at least no money wasted.

Breakfast only slightly better. Milk was unpalatable and served in a dirty pitcher (yellow grime under nozzle). Worst Holiday Inn breakfast ever.

Certainly a no-returner!

A little difficult to find at first but SatNav's fault and not the hotel's. The hotel looks good and has excellent security with locked gates overnight. Next to a very busy main road but excellent sound insulation so didn't hear any traffic. Welcoming and helpful staff. Family suite was reasonable size with modern furniture and shower that didn't leak. Stayed one night and had free WiFi for whole of stay but had to re-register regularly. Unsure whether it would extend beyond 24 hours. Breakfast included with hot and cold selection. Would recommend.

Really nice spacious rooms with complimentary Wi-Fi, comfy bed with choice of soft or firm pillows adds a nice touch. Beautiful bathroom and lovely shower with colour LED lights is really nice. Parking is plentiful and secured at night with a gate and restricted access. Breakfast buffet a little disappointing however fair choice for continental I guess.
Location could be better, is rather far from the city was shocked at the €43 each way taxi ride to the Cathederal!

We travelled with a full coach party from the UK to Italy and used the hotel as our half-way stop on the outward and return journey. My wife and I had a very nice quiet comfortable room with fresh modern decor. Well equipped with adequate storage space, hospitality tray and super bathroom with an enormous shower.. Reception and lounge bar area well designed and clean throughout. At early breakfast on the first occasion proved to be chaotic as we all arrived at much the same time. Hot water in the insulated jugs was soon used up and several food items needed to be replenished and a visit to reception was necessary to get some action. Another coach party arrived, found insufficient food as it had not been replaced. Much the same happened on our return trip especially the making of hot beverages. Perhaps a machine to dispense hot drinks and hot water would improve matters and a member of staff in attendance ALL the time to replenish food supplies. Extremely pleasant hotel but catering arrangements need organisation to cope with a large influx of guests. Outside area was very pleasant with swimming pool. Security was excellent with strong fence and gate closure at night. Ample room for coach and car parking.

We arrived in the middle of the night and were welcomed very friendly. Check-in took only a minute. The room was very well appointed, newly renovated and the bed was of very good quality. The bathroom was great with a very large shower, perfect!
Breakfast was very good and fresh.

My family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights during our recent tour of southern Germany which included a visit to Strasbourg. The hotel has recently been renovated. Modern decor, good size rooms, comfortable beds, updated bathrooms at a very reasonable price. Two rooms...1 with 2 twin beds and 1 with a double bed and sofa bed for about 65 euros/night each. A very good European style buffet breakfast was included in the rate. Rolls, baguette, pastries, coffee, hot chocolate, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, cold cereal, and juice were plentiful. They also served scrambled eggs, though, my three teenage boys thought they tasted like rubber (and they are not picky eaters). Parking and wi-fi (even in the rooms) is also provided free of charge The staff was very friendly and helpful. Actually, we arrived very late (got lost...our GPS couldn't give us the right directions to the hotel...weird). When my husband mentioned how tired and hungry we were, the clerk immediately went to the kitchen to make us a snack. How often to you see service like that? The location is not in the city center (actually it's in the middle of what seems like an industrial area), however, with a car, it's a (very easy) 10 minute drive into Strasbourg. Overall, a very nice experience. Great value for the money. Would definitely stay there again.
