We started using this hotel when the Ibis in Challons repeatedly failed to serve food around Christmas/New Year. We always go for the half board rate, and get better food for less overall cost. Yes the walls are thin, rooms tired, cleaning has occasional lapses but for the price I find that OK. The restaurant is popular with the locals for good reason. I like all the food: my wife is a vegetarian and the buffet means she gets as good a meal here as we have ever had in France. If you are sick of champagne, try the selection of Belgian beers available in the small bar area.

This was a fifth visit to the champagne region and have yet to find a hotel that I would strongly recommend. The hotel was easy to find, had plenty of parking and the rooms were of average size with oversize beds in. There was a restaurant which we used on our first night as we had had a long drive and could not be bothered to look for somewhere else. The buffet menu was a little over priced but the food was adequate. When we paid our bill there was a supplement added for one of the dishes but the hotel insisted that this was displayed on the night. Perhaps all four of us had temporary blindness. Breakfast was very good. On the second night an alarm from on of the local commercial premises went off at about 3am and repeated at regular intervals throughout the rest of the night. WARNING - the walls to the rooms are very thin and you can hear everything that is going on in the adjoining room!
A big positive - the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Duel carriage way on the front and commercial area at the back!

The hotel is located in Dizy, which is about a 10 minute drive from the heart of Epernay (the center of the Champagne region). The reservation desk is also the restaurant reception desk and we were able to check out the dinner buffet upon arrival; salads, foie gras, escargot, meats, cheeses, desserts & fruit. Although we didn't partake in the dinner selection, it was very popular, and the restaurant was packed with people! The hotel didn't have an elevator and our room was "European small" but had a flat screen TV and free WiFi. Breakfast was €8.50/pp and had a good selection of breads, pastries, meats, cheese, yogurt & fruit. The bed was rather firm, the pillows flat, and the bathroom towels were mismatched, but the room was clean enough, and for €59/night it was good for a one or two night stay.

Chose this as a cheap overnight option given that one of my party requires a single room so this was a less expensive choice, which we did expect to be basic. We knew that there was no food served on site and planned to go into Epernay which is just a 5 minute drive away, and the owner gave us a map showing the centre and main food places marked.
Checking in and finding the place is OK - it is tucked away in the corner of a sort of retail estate - says prim hotel on the top rather than Logis Bagatelle. Plenty of parking available. We were allocated 2 rooms on the first floor, not adjacent as we had requested, and both rooms were pretty identical. Not very large, not brilliant quality. Large bed and due to the heat very thoughtfully an extra sheet left folded on the bed - we just used this rather than the duvet.
Bathroom was fairly basic too - towels didn't all match, but were clean. Shower cubicle a bit cramped and door fell off hinge a couple of times. Overall cleanliness of the place left something to be desired - corners and skirtings were dirty and dusty, marks on walls etc - but all bedding and towels were fresh and clean. Would I use again, probably not - I really don't think it was worth the 59 euro paid - considering we stayed in a considerably nicer place the following night costing only 11 euros more.

The hotel is well located for those travellers who want to stop of in the Champagne region overnight and purchase good Champagne at reasonable prices, there a number of excellent growers close to the hotel in Dizy.

The reception was efficient and English is spoken.

The hotel is close to the autoroute and there is good private parking. The room we stayed in was comfortable, bright and clean, with a small but excellent bathroom, a good television and excellent WiFi. I think that the rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter those at the front, which face a busy road and early morning traffic can be heard when the windows are open

The restaurant provided good service, with honest food, do not expect great food, but it was tasty and good value.

This hotel gave excellent value for money and I would return and recommend it to others.

The hotel is also close to a supermarket providing fuel at good prices for topping up before continuing the journey.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel are probably quieter.

We stayed 2 nights here as I'm a big champagne lover. It's a little awkward to get to and even though it seems like it's in an industrial estate, it's far from it once you arrive. The room was fine, and Didier and Catherine couldn't be more helpful in organising our trip around Epernay and the many champagne tastings we did. They even let us crack our bottle of Pierre Jouet with our dinner that night. Service was 5*. We had a room overlooking the main road but didn't really have a problem with any traffic noise. Remember to close the curtains otherwise the street lights might keep you awake. Safe and secure parking for motorbikes too. Really good value for money.

Room Tip: terrific service - food plentiful and reasonable quality

What a great hotel. The only problem is finding the place which is well sign posted but after a long drive you may not expect to be heading in to the far corner of an industrail estste.
On first checking in the staff are great and very helpful. The rooms take a bit of getting used to but have all the important things in the right size.( large bed, shower and telly).
The Breakfast is plentyful and the quality of the produce would put a lot of larger places to shame.
We eat in the resturant on the saturday and the food was great and very reasonable.

I would recomend this hotel to any one staying the the area. Taxi into town was 10 euro so it does not break the bank.
