We stayed here for a bouldering trip for three nights. The hotel looked very shabby from the outside, but the receptionist was friendly and the rooms were clean. I was quite happy with the beds: (not too) hard and not worn through.

On the negative side the hotel advertises with offering free WiFi, but the internet connection was dreadful bordering on non-existent. Also the toilet of the room is behind a sliding door that is open to the top and bottom. You have visual privacy, but the other person in the room is going to be molested by all your natural sounds etc.

As to the location, the hotel has a big supermarket, various restaurants and a club in walking distance. The closest bouldering area is 10-15 minutes by car.

All things considered I would come again, but be much happier if they improved on the two mentioned points.

Simple on the outside, and yet comfortable and clean rooms, excellent proper shower and bathroom, good buffet. Staff fabulous and very helpful. The reception lady spoke good English. Nearby Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte (10km) - a chateau definitely worth to visit (need several hours to see the chateau, coach house with extensive collection of vehicles, and the huge gardens).

No frills hotel. Everything is on the cheap. Bedding is acceptable. Poor sound isolation, but in most cases the hotel is quiet (no parties). Fire alarm goes off easily if people smoke in room, don't bother rushing out. Continental breakfast basic but it does the job (baguette, croissant, café, cheese, ham, juice buffet). Had to spend a night there but will not go again unless forced. No elevator. Some areas are spotless clean but in our room there were lots of dead insects near the bathroom window.

Room tip: Avoid main street side as it could be noisy in early morning.

The receptionist speaks good English, the rooms are a bit small but very clean. The bathroom is also very clean, they changed our towels every day.
Even if there were other guests we slept well because at night was silent.
An advice: if you don't want to be disturbed put the sign out on the door handle.

Travelling through France wanted a budget place for me my wife and my two adult sons for the one night so needed a double and a twin. This place is under new management. On arrival we were greeted by the Hotel owner who spoke immaculate English. He had just brought our booking details up as he was about to call us and check we could find the place. Our rooms were immaculate and clean, the whole place had been remodeled and new fixtures and fittings. Sheets clean and crisp, bathroom had shampoo and soap with four towels, Felt secure and welcome. A large shopping centre and supermarket is within walking distance of the hotel. Asked for directions to various restaurants and he provided directions to MacDs, a burger place, pizza house and a fantastic Mongolian Restaurant with clear directions to each of these. In the morning we were allowed plenty of time to get back on the road, and a start our journey refreshed and happy. This is a great place to stay short term or long, 44 Euros per room, short hop to Paris, Disneyland or just the French country. My wife has high standards and she was impressed and has said we will be using this place again.

Room tip: Just go and enjoy the place
