A reasonably priced option for Paris. Easy 5 minute walk to the train station and then 10 minutes on the train to central Paris. The room was comfortable, not up to the standard of a Courtyard in the United States, but it was clean. The staff was helpful. The breakfast buffet was fair at best. They gave a very good recommendation for a local restaurant one night when we didn’t want to return to Paris for dinner, Chez Papa.

We stayed at this hotel for six night earlier this month and it was exactly what we expected after reading previous TripAdvisor reviews. Hotel is very modern, nice and clean. All staff speaks good English and was helpful in making taxi arrangements, etc. First morning we were late for breakfast, and they still provided us with some tea and snacks even the kitchen was already closed and everything cleaned up. We booked a room on the "high-floor" which included breakfast for two and free Wi-Fi for about 25 Euros extra compare to other rooms. What a great deal! Otherwise you should pay the same amount just for internet. Our room was great with nice king size bed (surprise for Paris!) and even full size patio with some patio furniture. It seems it was one of the two room on this floor facing to the yard (#520) and this is the reason it was very quite. We slept with partially open balcony every night and enjoyed this a lot. There is very nice sea food chain bistro in front of the hotel that we visited three times - for the price it is a great value. RER train is a little far (about 8 minutes walking) but give a good connection to the Paris center. You may buy ten tickets at once and in this case it will cost 2 Euros per trip (compare to 2.5 if you buy a single ticket). Taxi to downtown is about 25 Euros. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars rating to this place is that you cannot walk out from there and be in the front of Louvre or Eiffel Tower right away. But still a great value.

Jo and I booked this Marriott Courtyard because it was on the direct RER blue line from Charles de Gaulle Airport. Our plan was for a 4 day layover to see Paris on our way to Croatia. No changing trains. No lugging baggage up and down stairs in Paris Central. Did our plan work? Absolutely. The connection to and from the airport could not have been easier. The La Place RER station is about 8 blocks from the hotel. Be aware that the hotel is uphill from the train station.

The Courtyard Hotel is a modern hotel with very nice rooms and king sized beds. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. It is across the street from a shopping center with a grocery store, if you forgot any supplies. The hotel lobby was business like with a nice restaurant where we enjoyed the included breakfast buffet. Each morning we would enjoy a large breakfast and then set out to the train station for a short trip to see the sights of Paris. There was never more than a few minute wait for a train.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to check our luggage after we checked out while we enjoyed our last day in Paris. We returned to the hotel, picked up our luggage and took a direct RER B train to CDG for our evening departure to Croatia.

It was easy to get around because the La Place station is in zone two. This hotel’s location just outside of the central loop made the price much more attractive than Paris hotels. The weekend rate is extremely attractive. The extra train ride was less than 15 minutes. We used zone one tickets around central Paris and the zone two tickets to and from the hotel. You can buy a book of 10 tickets for Zone 1 and another book of 10 tickets for Zone 2 that work on the Metro as well as the RER trains. The fare back to CDG airport was about 11 euro each.

Jo and I would recommend this Courtyard property for the nice modern clean rooms, great breakfast and good value. Most of all, the location made seeing Paris easy. We had no difficulty getting to and from the Paris sights and Charles de Gaulle airport unassisted.

Room Tip: Get a room with the breakfast buffet included.

This was a great find. Brand new across from a mall with all the needs one could want. From a grocery store to restaurants and shops. Parking was non existant in the hotel but across the street in the bottom of the mall was great but expensive. The rooms were a little small and the buffet and internet were outrageous as usual. Across the street was all the conveniences including free internet.

Room Tip: get a room away from the noisy street to the west.

We stayed for free using platinum points from many other stays, so I can't talk about value.

From the train it was a less than 10 minute walk from the Laplace station. On the right there is a small convenience store that sells 1.5 liter bottles of Evian Water for 0.9 Euros one of the few inexpensive things in France, compared to the U.S..

The mall directly across the street was clean and had a Mcdonald's that had Egg McMuffins for about 1.5 Euro, an American way to get eggs in town. They were so slow, it took 15 minutes to get three McMuffins, with one other customer in the restaurant. I say this because getting the buffet for $18 each can get a little pricy everyday. The breakfast buffet had everything including scrambled eggs and the coffee was fine. The front desk was superb at helping us navigate the rail system giving us maps and explaining how to figure out where to go, and how to connect to other lines. Use the electronic boards on each track to know where and when each train is going (see photo). trains come every 4 minutes or so, so if you miss one another is on the way. Each time the board will light up the stops it goes to, it it is not lit, it will not stop there. We learned this the hard way the first day, going by the places where we wanted to stop, but since we had the Paris Visite Pass, 2 people for $40 Euro, it was just a hassle, not financial burden. To get to most anywhere it took between 15-30 minutes, I did not think this was to bad, considering if you wanted to stay in the popular areas, near Eiffel Tower etc., you would pay a bundle for a room. We stayed in room 517 on the 5th (top) floor facing the mall. It was very quiet, and with the fan on, very good for sleeping. We had a private porch, the Internet (for us) was free, and worked well. The bathroom was clean, but the glass shower panel only covered 50% of the length of the shower, meaning we had to run the water at about one third of the pressure, or flood the floor, really annoying. The bed was nice, there were plenty of outlets to plug into my computer. All in all I would hardily endorse the Arcueil if you can live with using the train and it cost everyday. The daytime front desk was exceptional, Emeli was a standout in information, patience and knowledge of the area.

Room Tip: Fifth floor had a porch on the mall side.

The hotel is about 40 - 50 mins from Airport by train (RER B) and another 10 mins walk. The hotel is neat and clean and is relatively new. The staff is ok and they do their job. In terms of hospitality, this property does not match what their counterparts in Asia offer! The breakfast as average. There are a few eating options outside the hotel and a movie hall adjacent to the hotel. The tourist attractions like Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dam etc etc is not very near and is around 20 - 30 mins by train. If you are looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and yet reach the city in 20 - 30 mins, then this is not a bad option. But if you want to enjoy the life and warmth of Paris, I would recommend to pay the same and book something in the city! This hotel does not have a Spa or Swimming Pool!
