“Unbelievable view!”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

We went in a large group which can be challenging, but the restaurant handled this with total aplomb. Food was good and fresh & service gracious and charming, but the real star is the anazing view. The restaurant is perched high on a ridge in the mountain village of Orletta & watching the sun go down as you look into the valley & mountainous coastline is spectacular!

“What a great discovery!”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

Getting bored of the S.Florent downtain turistic restaurants, my husband and I took a 15min drive to Oletta to enjoy an amazing view of the gulf and breathe cool, fresh air. Without a reservation, we were promptly seated (luck maybe) and ate one of the best meals we have had in Corsica. Our bill cost 80euro and we had the following: one filet mignon and one vealchop (both served with creamy sauces, ratattouile, salad and potatoes), a good bottle of Patrimonio white wine (25euro), and a corsican cheese plate with fig jam as dessert. All very delicious. Bon appetit!

“Amazing views, OK food”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

This restaurant has an amazing view over the valley down to the sea and St Florent. Nice atmosphere. Staff is helpful but could be a bit more courteous. We had the menu at EUR28 per person which acceptable. The Gratin d'aubergine was delicious but not diet proof at all. The Saute de veau was dry, not very tasty and lacking flavours. The dessert could have benn a killer if a bit warmer. Wine by the glass was good. I would go back.

“Go Go Go....!”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

This restaurant is utterly incredible. It has the most beautiful setting across the mountains to the coast. You can sit on the terrace and watch the sun go down with an exquisite glass of wine in your hand! I didn't book but arrived early and got a table however, if I were to go again I would book as it is very busy....and I was told the most popular restaurant in the area. It is truly incredible food. It is not super cheap but worth every penny! Don't miss this restaurant if you are in the area.

“Fabulous food and views in a hidden away town”
Reviewed November 2, 2011

My husband and I were staying at La Dimora, and one afternoon we decided to see the view from the hill town above. So we drove up to Oletta and began a hike on a windy, cool day. It is a small town and it was quiet and virtually deserted. As we walked down the road, we saw a restaurant, which appeared to be closed. I walked over to look at the menu and saw that it was open and many people were eating lunch there. So we entered and were "wowed" by the restaurant. The first thing that struck us was the view from the wrap around huge windows. If the weather had been better, and the terrace open for dining, it would have been magnificent. We were also pleased with the staff. They were attentive, kind, and courteous and spoke wonderful English, something we didn't always find in Corsican restaurants. Our waitress had spent a year in Australia as well as traveling to other countries and her English was impeccable. The owner also greeted us and was very welcoming. Then there was the food.... it was as good as any gourmet restaurant we've ever been to. It was creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The prices were moderate, considering the quality of the cuisine. The whole experience was so wonderful, we went back for dinner the next night and were just as pleased. I would highly recommend Auberge A Magina and would love to go back someday.
