This is quite possibly the best place to stay in South Africa!
We spent three amazing days at Wild Horses and could have easily made it three weeks!!
Our hosts were fantastic and the staff were absolutely brilliant
We weren't the average guests being in a group of eight, but the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect for us
We have highly recommended to all our other team members who tour South Africa to book in at Wild Horses, and I look forward to staying there again soon

Room Tip: The view from the Zebra room is outstanding

We had a wonderful three days at Wild Horses, which was too short. The nature reserve is amazing. We did very nice hikes.
The food, wine and atmosphere at Wild Horses were perfect.
We will certainly come again.

We have just spent five wonderful days at Wild Horses. The natural beauty of Wild Horses coupled with the excellent hospitality made our stay really memorable. Our hosts and all their staff went out of their way to provide the most excellent food and comfortable and relaxing environment. Our first approach along the 16 approx. km unmade road had us wondering whether we had made a good decision to come here, the answer was most emphatically a resounding YES!

Room Tip: View across lake was terrific.

We went to the Wild Horses Mountain Guest Lodge for a romantic get away and thats exactly what it was - absolute brilliant service and location.

It felt like we were the only couple catered for as the attention to detail from the breakfast to the dinner was custom made just for us.

This is a rare find in South Africa and we will return over and over again!

A precious gem right on the Sterkfontein dam, with the most fabulous view and 5 star service. We have been to Wild Horses four times over the last 6 months and every time has been truly amazing. The view is spectacular so even if the weather is not great there is nothing better than sitting on the patio with a drink soaking in the view and great company of our hosts, Esmeralda and Van Heerden. They are extremely accommodating even with my difficult dietary requests. Our last visit was to celebrate our 15th anniversary on 2 Nov. Wthout a request from us they went out of their way to make it special. After a gourmet meal from Van Heerden who could easily take on any top restaurant in the country, we were pleasantly surprised with a romantically decorated room with rose petals and candles. If you are looking for a romantic dinner ask for the quaint wine cellar which they decorate with flowers and candles and background music. The wine selection is equally impressive. On some occasions owners John and Trish add to the positive experience. We went out for the most amazing boat trip to Silent Valley with John. To add to this fairy tale experience, John's herd of beautiful Apaloosa horses roam freely and are the friendliest horses I have ever come across.
