This place has lots of potential. It's a traditional French cafe/brasserie. We visited it twice, paid for drinks and food immediately when served, and we left a nice tip for the waiters.
Our third visit, we also paid for our drinks and tapas immediately only to be very surprized when the waiter demanded that we pay for the drinks again! As I had just withdrawn 100 euros from an ATM, I could easily calculate that I'd paid for all the food and drinks served.
With two waiters demanding that I paid for the drinks a second time and with one of the waiters getting loud, rude and very unpleasant, I paid for the drinks again. It was such an awful experience that we got up and left the drinks and the food (also already paid for) untouched.
I would not recommend Cafe de Paris in Le Grau du Roi to anybody.
They should not depend on a system that relies on the memory of waiters in regard to payment. Particularly, when their waiters are unable to cope with their work. The fact that the staff became unpleasant has meant that we will certainly never go to Cafe de Paris in Le Grau du Roi again.
