“Tunda Tours, Watamu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 16, 2011

I recently booked a safari through Tunda tours based solely on the reviews on here and there is a reason why every review gives 5 stars. Abdul was the only tour operator who gave us his personal mobile number should we need to call with any problems day or night, which came in useful as we changed our plans multiple times and Abdul accommodated us every time without any problems. We booked a 3day 2 night safari and a boat trip with Abdul and he then threw in a day trip to Malindi for free.

I could not recommend Abdul enough he personally made sure every aspect of our holiday went perfectly by being with us every step of the way. On the few occasions when he couldn’t be with us he always made sure to call us to check everything was going well and we were enjoying ourselves (which we always were).

Within a couple of hours of meeting Abdul you will not feel like a client but a friend. Contact Abdul now you won’t regret it http://www.tundatourssafaris.com/

“Very helpful and well priced”

We used Abdul for a safari, boat trip to Mida Creek and a day trip to Malindi.

We chose Tunda as they were the only company that replied to my e-mails before we left for Kenya. We met Abdul at the hotel on the day of our arrival and booked all three trips at the same time. Abdul has all the leaflets and brochures of hotels for safari and is very honest if somewhere is not so good.

Everything happened when he said it would and was easily contactable on his mobile phone by text.

Abdul personally drove us around Malindi in his pimp wagon! and took us to a great restaurant for lunch (Baobab).

We have just returned from our holiday in Kenya. Whilst we were there, we had booked a 3 day Safari with Abdul to Tsavo East and Tsavo West. From the onset, Abdul was extremely helpful and informative and we felt reassured that we had done the right thing by booking with him. We were not wrong! We were lucky enough to get a driver called "Steve" (not his Kenyan name!) and I would recommend him for his knowledge, experience and lovely personality. We were lucky enough to see the Big 4 - the Rhinos were in hiding! and all in all, we had a fantastic experience - thanks to Abdul. He also went out of his way to book our flights to Lamu Island and made sure that we had suitable accommodation etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Tunda Tours and we are already looking at itineraries for next year.

During a 2 week holiday at the Turtle bay beach club in Watamu, Kenya we were introduced to Abdul Rahman from Tunda Tours through other hotel guests and we booked two trips (one of which he threw in for free!) and a 2 night safari to the royal mara. All the trips were fantastic, especially the safari, but everything was made better by Abdul who would'nt hesitate to go out of his way to make sure we got the most out of all our trips. He is a genuinely nice, friendly, honest, funny guy who we would highly recommend to book with!!!

“Tunda Tours, Malindi”

We stayed at the Turtle Bay Beach Club in Watamu which was an excellent experince in itself, however this review is for Abdul and his compnay Tunda Tours. If you are planning on staying in any of the hotels in or around Malindi, do not book any trips or tours until you have checked this guy out. We booked 2 trips through him and the service we recieved was 1st class. Abdul arranged a 2 day 1 night safari trip to the Tsavo East safari park for me and my father-in-law. The cost of the trip was substantially less than the same trip offered by our tour operator, in addition to this, we travelled as a pair in a minibus designed to carry 9 (once we got to the park there were plenty of minibuses with 9 people crammed in to them!). Abdul personally met us at the hotel and introduced us to our driver and guide (a fantastic guy called Saleem who was born and brought up in the village of Watamu and has been doing safari drives for over 15 years). The attention to detail is 1st class and ensured that the trip we had was excellent. The second trip we booked was a family trip to Mida Creek. Again, the trip was substantially less than the tour operators and hotel were offering but this trip had the added bonus of a BBQ which offered Lobsters, prawns as well as a traditional Swahili dish of octopus. Again, Abdul was there to greet everyone when we set off and met up with us for lunch and the return journey back to TBBC. The tour operators warn tourists not to book with local operators, however our experience with this company (and Abdul) was 1st class and would highly recommend that you use him. We stayed at TBBC from 2nd to 17th July and everyone who used Abdul's company while we were there had nothing but praise for the man (except his choice of football club!). Abdul, see you next year!!
