This has to be one of the most beautiful places on Balaton. They offer 7 wine tasting evenings with cold meat, bread and cheese, so wonderful and otherworldly to sit in fading light on the terrace looking down over the lake wine and meats and friendly attentive staff. Wonderfully cosy rooms, and surprisingly child friendly.
We walked out the back door of our room at Pension Obester, between the rows of vines and found the beautiful Laposa Borbirtok. We shared a cold plate and bread and tasted their wines. Both were great and the attentive waiter was very personable and guided our rough NZ palates through the wines on offer. We headed back down the hill with six more bottles that we came up with or intended getting
We are in love with Badacsony. The location of Laposa terrace is frenetic. You can see the sun rise and the sun set as well. And in between the full view of lake Balaton. You can pick this place just for tasting wine or go for a light lunch or dinner as well. Unfortunately the place does not have kitchen so only fingerfoods are available.
The service was really nice, we were very satisfied with both visits that we made to Laposa Terrace. Moreove, we are grateful for the romantic evening that we spent there before the day of getting married. Thank you!
One of the few wineries actually open after August. Fora tourist place, Badacsonytomaj has to do better. This was a delightful winery with an awesome view of Lake Balatron and the vineyards. The owner was a wonderful host. The wines were very good - some of Hungary's better white choices. We had a snack here- nothing special, but the view was worth the price of the wine and snack.
Here you can taste the wines of Laposa winery. They have both white and red wines on a fair price. The scene is amazing. Recommended!
Absolutely wonderful afternoon! First you have to climb 2km to the mountain and it is one hundred percent worth it! The views are amazing, the wine is very tasty, the guy working there talked about wine in very goon English, moreover told us funny stories. We tried 6 different wines and the plate of local hams and cheeses - really liked eveything. One more thing- you have to try the pumpkin seed oil! Really wish to come there again.
