This is a great place to land if you want to be spared the complication of a big menu. That they cater to tourists, should not diminish, the place. The meal I had was a great value. The service nice and a good place to try.

I didn't check with Tripadvisor the reviews on this tourist trap. As a punishment we had ruined evening and feelings of being ripped off.

The evening started good. The restaurant located nicely, interior decor is attractive.

Troubles started when we ordered food.
As a main course we have chosen, amongst other dishes, 2 entrecots with French fries.

Meat was tough and tasteless. It took us considerable efforts to cut off some pieces of it. French fries were the worst we ever seen: greenish-grey-dark brown. In fact, it looked like they fried low-grade potato skins rather than potato itself.

Starting from the moment we dared to claim on the food quality, the waiters switched to "no-seeing" mode. Smiles disappeared, no replacement of the food was offered.

Prices of the food are higher by 30-40% than average. Pure rip off considering the junk they serve.

Avoid this place.

This place definitely plays on tourists and we have a sneaking suspicion our hotel, which recommended the joint, must be getting some kind of kickback, as it was a mediocre experience at best (and we saw other people from our hotel there as well!).

The good:
-Wine was cheap and tasty. It's Bordeaux though, so, this sorta comes with the territory.
-The bread was crusty, warm, and fresh.
-Oysters were yummy and BIG

The BAD:
-Hair in our glasses
-The live pianist had the musical acumen of a second year piano student. He tinkled away at children's versions of "Sound of Silence," "In the Mood," "Heart and Soul", etc. The fact that they were all American songs only further led us to believe that this place is nothing but a tourist trap.
-The waiter didn't write our order down and guess what? He got it wrong! We had to eat the wrong dishes because we didn't feel like waiting. We were not comped, not offered anything gratis, just an apology and the wrong dishes.
-Service was slow.
-Food was not cheap at all.
-Duck was overcooked, vegetables like baby food
-Pasta tasted like it was cooked in nacho cheese.

Just don't go here. You can get this bland, run-of-the-mill French cuisine anywhere. Pick somewhere else.

Ate a nice meal here with family tonight. Would recommend bypassing the low price prix fixe menu in favor of the higher one or a la carte. Since each of us tonight was varying degrees of hungry-- we did them all. Can recommend the pork and the boeuf rossini (which was a good effort with tasty beef and duck foie gras). Not the best rossini I've ever tasted, but satisfying nonetheless. Dining companions enjoyed the sushi appetizer and also the cheese plate.

Very good food and fabulous dessert selection. Live pianist and warm decor. Bottles of wine were a great deal here! We very much enjoyed our dinner here.
