“The Best Place To Stay In Genting Highlands”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 22, 2012

The rooms are clean and spacious, so are the toilets (with rain shower attached); a stark contrast to the room conditions at First World Hotel or Highlands Hotel. Beds here are firm but pillows are a bit high and soft, but they provide you with an extra pillow so you can prop it up if you wish.

My parents frequent Gentings about twice a year, and I once a year. Resort Hotel is a must for us to stay in, the lobby is bright and clean and service at the front desk is great. SMS will be sent out to you once your room is available for check-in.

There is free WiFI provided, but only within the lobby area, and there is Coffee Bean at the hotel lobby where they provide their own free WIFI too. I highly recommend staying here instead of the rest.

The frontline and housekeeping staff are superb here, attending to all my needs when I arrived in the wee hours at Genting last week. The frontline staff sms me when my room was ready at 10am, imagine how pleased I was as the weather outside is foggy and cold. They really make my day. The housekeeping staff are courteous, especially the chamber maids. Maybe the interior of the rooms need some lively decors as it can get a little spooky at night. There were dead insects near the window and with the ceiling fan, sometimes it gets a bit warm inside.

The Rooms are of good quality, only lacking was a bathtub. The beds were good, not hard at all and provided us with a very very comfortable sleep.

The views of genting was splendid, had a panoramic view of the sunrise.

The check-in was fast and efficient too.

Pricey hotel. Small rooms. Clealiness average. Poor sound insulation. No air-conditioning (due cool climate) but installed with a ceiling fan. No fresh air unless windows are opened. If windows are opened, noise from nearby AC compressor and/or street becomes unbearable. Expect insects to enter the room with windows opened, especially at night. Room is well lit. Parking space at this hotel extremely limited; however space available further away near theme park or other hotels.

Reception process slow. Restaurant expensive as all the other restaurants at the resort are. Concierge service good.

Choices of hotels are limited as all hotels at the resort are owned by the same group. However, I would have expected better quality rooms for their rates.

Well..nice and clean room with strong shower tab. Room also equipped with 6pin safety locker. Negetive: air con is not working. Staying second floor. Abit noisy from outside. Like some engine is running. If possible, stay higher floor

No AC in room, not like you need it because temperature is cool up here, but to have some air circulation you'll have to open the windows, and then you'll get the noise from the street or the huge AC station at the back of the hotel.

Room is very basic, not very comfy bed and cheap towels in bathroom; kinda humid in room in November (again, no AC); no internet in room but there's free WiFi in lobby. A Coffee Bean in the lobby and a 24 hr convenient store. There's another 24 hr convenient store down at B5 level, right beside White Coffee, it's much cheaper.

Room Tip: Get a room as high as possible if you prefer it quiet.

We like this hote, asl compared to First World and Theme Park hotel as the room is neat, spacious, comfortable and modern. We got a room with a view facing the outdoor theme park which is easily accessible from this hotel. The room is fitted with a unique wardrobe which can be access both from the room and bathroom. The room is also equipped with an iron and ironing board beside the usual coffee/ tea facility. Level B5 had an 'Old Town' cafe, a mini supermart and a rather run-down cafeteria. Parking space is rather limited and difficult to secure during busy seasons.
Check in staff is efficient and friendly as well, if we are too early for check in, the staff would pre-register us and informed us via SMS when the room is ready so that we could explore elsewhere instead of waiting at the lobby. It's the hotel of choice for us in Genting.

Room Tip: For travelers who dislike noise or are light sleepers, request for a room facing the mountains, inst...
