“The room a bit dim”

We will stayed in first world hotel everytime we went to Genting. No choice but only this hotel as the few others only for open booking for members with silver card and above.

This time we stayed in tower 1, the previous stayed were all in tower 2. The room is slightly different from tower 2, with a lcd tv on the wall, a long side wall table but still dim. If they can add a table lamp for us to write or read near the side table will be better. The toilet is still small. Even though they provide 3 in 1 soap, but please add a rack in the shower place for us to put our own shampoo, shower gel all that instead of put in on the floor.

This hotel is always busy. with watson, cafe & bookshop around, it's convenience for all your daily needs.

Some of the theme park are closed for maintenance. The weather in Genting is slightly warmer than last year. The food in Genting is more costly than in KL.

Me and my wife stayed at First World (24th floor) when we went to genting. Please find my review as given below:
Location : Awesome..no other hotel has a better location in Genting.
Our room type : Deluxe
Food options : Many
Room : A little small. But at genting - u hardly stay inside. A very cramped toilet+bath. Only basic essentials provided. No microwave. Comfortable Beds.
Staff : you hardly see...LOL

Room Tip: Ask for a view.

The location of this Hotel is no doubt the best in Genting Highlands, situated just with the Theme Park, it sets good views of the rides from the Hotel too. Hotel is huge, and for the first time I literally thought if i am at some Hotel Reception or at airport!
The indoor amusement park is also good, but the hotel services are just ok. Nothing great in name of rooms, but clean, good and fine.
A 3 on 5 from my side for the hotel.

Amazing how the Malaysians have built 30+ storied buildings on top of a mountain. Booked a standard room. Seemed more like a pigeon coup than a room, but somehow they had managed to fit in everything from the bed to the minibar in it. Quite surprised with the self check-in and check-out kiosks. So always have your passport with you.

Booked on there website. Wanted to try very cheap standard room (MR 78 at low season) but decided to go super deluxe finally. Didn't got confirmation to email account but found the pdf many hours later logging into their website. Hotel seemed huge with lots of people at lobby, so tried check-in kiosk (need booking passport only). There was assisting staff and the check in seemed very quick. However, when we got into the room we were disappointed. The room was small with a small wall fan, double instead of twin, viewing roof of the plaza... We decided to ask for another and called the service. They told us to go to the counters at the lobby for change. The change was easy, we requested a mountain view twin room on non-smoking floor near the lift lobby. Finally we got a 24/F (actually just mid-level) mountain view twin room but smoking floor (didn't really smell) at tower two. This one was much better with a ceiling fan. Could only open a small window gap. Air was fresh and cool. Nice mountain view, blue sky and clouds at good weather. Watched sunrise 2 mornings. We opened small window gaps throughout the night, and there was some traffic noise near dawn. Huge cafe (canteen) for breakfast (included for super deluxe booking, MR 26 for promotion now) with many people come and go. The selection was good (as a 3 star in Malaysia) and kept refilling but food cool fairly quickly. There was a separated vegetarian section. A lot of entertainment there, food at plaza was not expensive (so do shops there). All you can eat and drink hotpot at MR 29++ till 11pm. Thought I would try trekking nearby as introduced on their website, but could not find further information from the counter. No maps of the resort area (except the indoor and outdoor park scheme), no directory of the plaza, no leaflet (showing time...) for the shows at the plaza stage, no bus information (need to go to the bus stop to find out yourself, only two times to KLIA at pm with didn't fit our departure time), no information for sightseeing around. Guess they prefer you to just stay and hang around at the casino, theme parks and the plaza. Hope more information could be found and people could plan better for staying there.

Room Tip: Tell them your request (mountain/park view, double/twin, smoking/non-smoking, high/low floor) at che...

Nothing impressed me with this hotel. Yeah main reason people came here not really to stay & enjoy the hotel facilities, most of the time we will spend outside at the theme park rite?hehe..The room is just average. We stayed at the deluxe room facing the theme park. Room is just ok for a small family but the bigger the better thou ;) Nothing much i can say here hmmm. One thing that i like is the check-in kiosk, cool!
