We've stayed at this lovely little hotel twice, both before flights out of the Stanfield International Airport in Halifax, NS. It is a nice, quiet, clean and very comfortable hotel. The staff are very pleasant and quick to accommodate. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer. This has now become our favorite of airport hotels and will book there first before any other hotel in the area.

This is an absolutely charming place to stay. The staff members are pleasant, courteous, and very helpful. There is a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. The meals in the dining room are well prepared and presented and reasonably priced. Rooms are very clean and beds and pillows are comfortable. Our room was upstairs but the shuttle driver took them right to our room for us.

We had to leave very early in the morning and there was free coffee, croissants and muffins available in the reception area for those who left early.

I would certainly return to Inn on the Lake.

I stayed at the Inn on the Lake after my flight was postponed due to weather in St. John's. There was a back up of people stuck so almost all hotels were booked up. I was lucky to get the last room for the night. There is a free shuttle to and from the hotel and both the drivers were very friendly and professional.

My waitress and the front desk staff were both friendly, and the breakfast was very good and presented in an attractive way. I arrived late at night and left in the morning but what I saw of the hotel I could tell it was quite charming. And the views must be alot prettier in the summer or fall.

The bed was massive and so was the room, and it was clean. :) The only bad thing about the Inn is that it doesn't have an elevator (or it wasn't functioning when I was there)......not sure which. If you have a heavy piece of luggage like I did it can be inconvenient to have to carry it up and down the stairs.

Overall, it was a very charming Inn with friendly and professional staff.

When faced with a choice of hotels close to Halifax airport you can choose chains or style. The Inn on the Lake is an amazing facility. The beds are unbelievable and the hotel is incredibly quiet. You can be suspicious when a hotel is significantly cheaper, but not in this case. This is good value for your money and I would stay there again any day! This hotel is worth the extra five minutes in the shuttle and is closer to Halifax than other hotels that offer airport shuttle service. The restaurant makes an excellent breakfast in a gorgeous dining room. We will go back to this hotel any time we need to be in Halifax!

Room Tip: The facility lacks an elevator so if you have mobility issues I would recommend a room on a lower fl...

Weather causing an extemely late arrival in Hfx. prevented my travelling to my final destination in the Annapolis Valley. I got one of the last available rooms in the vicinity of the airport here, deluxe, no deal @$159 plus tax. Not money I had wanted to spend but what a lovely place in which to recharge my travel-weary batteries. Ground floor room with jacuzzi and patio doors looking out onto pool area; must be wonderful in summer. Okay décor in room and the rest of the building's interior very nice and exterior is stunning. Most important: wonderful, kind and friendly staff. Complimentary shuttle from airport included. On past visits to N.S., I always drove past this inn and found its location so charming and am glad, despite the unexpected expense, that I had the chance to discover it. Would love to spend a night there in the summer.

We spent the night in a deluxe room for our anniversary. Had drinks in the pub and dinner in the dining room. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again! The room was clean and tasteful, bar staff was awesome, food was very good but the waitstaff in the dinning room was a little slow. Over all a great one night getaway!
