Owner description: On the eastern side of the Etna volcano, in the woods of the National Park and facing the sea of Taormina, the Gambino vineyards are a pleasure for your senses and for your heart. A Pleasure for your sight, because they represent one of the best models of Etna vineyards of high altitude: in an exclusive natural environment, at 800 meters above sea level, the vineyards lay on sunny and airy terracing that have a breathtaking panorama. A pleasure for your sense of smell, for the unmistakable perfumes of the volcano vegetation. A pleasure for your heart, because the vineyards and wine are great passion that, for over twenty years, involves and guides the Raciti Gambino family.

“A great place to visit after Etna”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

I have to admit I am more of a beer drinker but confess that I loved my visit to Agricola Gambino. You are treated to a variety of wine which I enjoyed very much along with some local produce. The bread and sun dried tomatoes were worth the visit alone. The view is spectacular and the staff were very friendly and informative. It is a very relaxing place to visit after a trip to Etna. You cannot go wrong here!

“Great experience decent wine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Our guide took us here as we had asked to visit a winery on Etna. Lovely lunch with tastings of all of their wines. Not a limited tasting just drink what you want. A nice spot high up on the not active side of Etna. Lots of small tour groups coming but it makes for a lively atmosphere

I had perhaps better Etna wine else where on my travels in Sicily but this is a lovely experience with gracious warm hospitality. I have wine pictures but my food pictures did not turn out.

The first time we went, we accidentally stumbled upon this winery. It was such a wonderful experience that we have returned a few times.

Truly picturesque, a pristine spot in the Etna countryside. A selection of excellent wines and delicious food complemented an already highly enjoyable experience. Strongly recommended !

“What a great place to enjoy some wine and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

With so many vineyards to choose from near Mount Etna, I am glad we chose Gambino. We turned up around lunch time without a booking, not really sure what to expect. Asked did we want the wine tasting and food at 20 euros each we though why not. Wow, lots of food, dried cherry tomatoes, olives, bread, so many types of local cheese, sausages, the list goes on... Each plate was served with a different wine to compliment the food. The wine was carefully explained to tell you about the grape and the tasting notes. They poured you a glass and left you the bottle to help yourself, we tried two reds and two whites, really nice. We also bought a couple of bottles to take home 6 and 9 euros each, would have like to have bought more.... Well worth the visit and the views are great on a clear day.
