The large courtyard allows you to spend a quiet evening with friends. All the dishes have been chosen, well-assorted hors d'oeuvres, tender meat from the scallops and plenty of cous cous. Bottled wine deserves more attention, poor assortment of whites, red at oven temperature rather than cellar. Patience

Fantastic atmosphere with gnocchi and pizzas to die for. The pizzas are enormous so order carefully if you have children or a small appetite. You can always box up and have lunch the following day.

We had a very nice lunch. Serviceminded and helpful personal. Beautiful old setting. I do recommend this restaurant and will go there again if I have the possibility.

Our friends had been to this restaurant ten years ago, so we all decided to return during this trip. The atmosphere of the dining room is very nice with an old grape press and and olive mill.

The capresse salad and house wine were nice. The lasagna was also nice.

We were at the south slope of Mt Etna, and looking for a less touristy place to eat. We found this place online, and drove the 30 minutes from Mt..Etna to get there.

It was a highly rated pizza joint, but it turned out the pizza oven was turned off, so we tried the other options and it was an excellent meal. At 1pm, the place (a former oil pressing factory) was deserted. Still, a friendly guy took care of us

We had pasta and salads, all very good. I had the salad #2, a large bowl of cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, capers and oregano, along with an order of rosemary potatoes (okay, not crispy). Others had the salad #4, lettuce with rich smoked salmon and very tasty.

Several of our party had the specialty of the house, the mushroom ravioli, which was creamy and very fresh tasting. Another had the pistachio penne, also very creamy and flavorful with a nice presentation. We also had an excellent Belgian beer in a large 750ml bottle, which we all tasted.

Overall, it was a nice surprise and really well done. And, at 125E for the 8 of us (leaving another 10E), it was a good deal. They also comped us all shots of Moscato and cookies (shortbread, sesame, s-shaped savory cookies that tasted of fennel).

This was an excellent surprise for lunch.
