This was our first stop on a European road trip. And arrived after a long drive from Cherbourg. When we arrived we found no staff at the reception or in fact anywhere, so we asked the very helpful man in the on site shop what we should do. He told us to set-up in a pitch and pay the next day. When we did leave the next morning we had to find a staff member to pay! It seemed as though they were completely oblivious to the fact we had stayed the night and in all honestly we could probably just have driven off.

The site itself is in a great location for visiting Paris city centre. Around 25 minutes by train from the local station. But the nearby train line did mean the site could be noisy at times. The site was clean and well kept with good showering/toilet facilities. The pitches for camping were flat and of a decent size positioned along the banks of the river.

Good location very near Paris and the train station. Camped at the site and even though we didnt need any electricity was still 30 Euros per night. Quite difficult to find and when we got there and went into reception we stood at the counter for about 10 minutes being completely ignored by the two staff behind the counter, of which one I believe was the manager, it was very rude and not a good start. We were put opposite the staff caravan and it was very noisy for hours with loud music and swearing, not relaxing at all. Toilets and showers were ok as was the bar, shop and table tennis.

We had our 2nd stay here with Eurocamp last week, our previous stay being 4 years ago. It is still a great site, but now looks better kept, fewer cats and geese and the grass on the emplacements has been cut. The new bar area is nice and we ate in the restaurant once, good food reasonably priced for Paris. The shop is rather pricey, but with the local shops only being 10 mins walk we didn't need to use it. A brilliant base for exploring Paris and as a stop over if travelling further south as we did, 1 night on the way to Dordogne and 2 nights on the way back to give us a day in Paris.

We stayed in a Eurocamp mobile home earlier this year at this campsite and are going back in September. I can't believe this campsite has reviews that aren't 5*! I suppose it depends what you're looking for.

If you're looking for a great campsite (we didn't hear the trains at all) that's only 20 mins by train from Paris (and they run every 12 mins or so) and close to a lovely supermarket that you can reach on foot and nice bars and restos, this is your place.

It doesn't have a pool or much in the way of entertainment but it's 20 minutes from Paris (which is quite entertaining and has some cool pools...).

Definitely recommend.

When I read some of the reviews we were quite dubious about booking, but don't let the reviews put you off.
We drove from Calais and apart from the toll charges it was a perfect journey, the roads are great and this place was really easy to find (using a sat nav) some of the roads are narrow on the approach to the site but we were driving a motorhome of 8.6m so quite big and no problems.

The reception staff were helpful and nice on arrival, we booked in with no problems and given information as asked, they took us to our pitch and offered any help.

The pitch was almost perfect the only down side was the position of the electricity hook up which was in the middle of the front of the pitch, again it was easy enough to move around, the pitch was what we requested (Sunny and on the river) we were right on the river bank with a great view over the Sienne, (Sun every day too)

I have never seen so many showers and toilets on one site, Honestly you could stay 3 months and use a different one every day, they are basic but clean and plenty of hot water.

The park is well kept, the only area i saw that i thought was unsightly were the two staff caravans used for staff accommodation near reception, very messy and unsightly with rubbish and junk.

The restaurant looked quite new, staff were very friendly and the food was 1st class and reasonably priced.

This is classed as a 4* site but I would have thought more an average 3* compared to uk standards.

The town itself an easy 10 min walk and also the station into Paris is only 10 mins away.

If your thinking of booking to take your Motor home or Caravan I do recommend it, unable to comment really on other accommodation but reps on site all day, some of the static caravans are a bit close together.
