yes thats right! the same chateau in moonraker!
fabulous building, gardens, architecture. Certain rooms inside are also fabulous but a lot of the back end and basement stuff i didnt really need to see to enjoy this property and its mystery.
Was dead quiet when we went, in the heat of summer, with nobody inside or out.
Good to take photos though and would make a fabulous place for a wedding or special event.
the stables with the horse carriages were facinating, and they were like brand new!
Probabaly will go back again for another look, hopefully the private family who owns this place keeps restoring some of the interiors as a lot of rooms seemed to be slowly decaying. And a lot of the boring rooms should be modernised a bit.
catch a train from Paris and easy taxi ride to and from the chateau.
