This site is about 5 miles outside of La Linea - look for the signs for Alcadesia. It is a gated community about a mile from the main road, right by the sea. Our satnav found the site but not the hotel, which is tucked away - you have to look hard for direction signs.

The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The air con system worked also as heating - important in sunny but cold Spain in February. The bar at reception was not open and indeed the shop on the main square also never seemed to open. There is another several miles up the road at the San Roque club which opens on Sunday's. It was VERY quiet - pefect if you want to relax but not easy if you wanted a bit of life. Going in February inevitably made it seem quieter. This would be an ideal location if you were there to play golf. We were not, we were just using it as a cheaper base to visit Gibraltar. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the Gib frontier.

It was a shame that the kitchen area was not better equipped - just a 2 ring hob and a microwave. There was ample room for a small oven/grill and it was missed that this hadnt been provided. The crockery etc was also quite limited - we ended up buying 2 wine glasses to avoid drinking wine out of a tumbler.

We enjoyed out stay but with a little effort this could be made a lot better.

Room Tip: Ask for an apartment opposite the pool.

I stayed in a group of 3, as my football team we're playing in a friendly in Gibraltar. Do not be fooled - this hotel is not in La Linea (which is a good thing!) - it is within a golf complex called alcadesia.
After driving down from Malaga, we eventually found the hotel (bit of a pain to find), and we're swiftly checked-in. From what I could see, we we're the only guests around. The apartment was modern and comfortable and the facilities seemed to be sufficeint. My only gripe was that there did not seem to be a shop on site or even within alcadesia.
We did not have a chance to use the pool on our short 3 day stop, but it looked inviting enough - even in the chilly (mild if you're from Manchester) 15c temperatures.

One bit of advice is that, if you are not hiring a car, this place is a no-go due to the lack of surrounding amenities. La Linea is dreadful, and Gibraltar is a 28 euro taxi ride away.

But all in all a good stay, and may well return when the weather gets better.

Located in a golf resort of Alcaidesa, about 20 mins to Gibraltar. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment with balcony facing the swimming pool. As we paid for only for room rates, there was no kitchen tools and appliances available, which we were aware off before going there. The kitchen power is there though so if any of you care to bring your own pots and pans, you won't have any problem cooking your own meal. Free parking. Check in was easy, the same as check out. The apartment was large, quiet, clean and complete with necessary items. We enjoyed the stay and wont hesitate to stay here again if we want to visit any nearby spots.

Room Tip: Must have your own mean of transport !

We had initially thought that since it was called Apartmentos and would have a kitchen that we would be able to use it. However, as we booked it as a hotel room, they actually take everything out of the room so you cannot use it. Which for us was a bit annoying as we bought dinner to cook that night which obviously went to waste (they should mention this somewehre).

We did however enjoy the place. It was very clean and had lots of space. The living room and balcony were a very nice addition to standard hotel place. The toilet was very clean and large. Bedroom was very nice and bed made up the next day. However it was a bit weird that we could hear the people above us having a shower, but nothing else (e.g no toilet flushing or talking).

The location is great as long as you have a car, and it is very commutable if you are planning to go to Morocco for a day trip (we left from Algeciras).

Was a great stay.
