I cannot comment on this place as a whole, I can only review the terrible and almost comical service my partner and I experienced. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon when it was extremely busy with a few people at the bar waiting for a table. We are told that a table of two is about to pay the bill and leave, so we could get a drink until it’s available. We buy a drink and wait. The waitress then comes over to us and says the table is free, thanks for your patience, I will go and clean it down and then you can sit on it.
We wait for around 10 minutes more before finding the same waitress and asking about the table ... only for her to then tell us that unfortunately it’s first come first served and that the couple that came in AFTER us and were behind us have taken the table. She then said that another table would not be available for yet another 20 minutes or so and even that isn’t a guarantee...so we waited half an hour and bought a drink without even being seated. They were not apologetic, just kept repeating the ‘first come first served’ - WE WERE FIRST and she told us it was our table. We left the restaurant utterly confused and found somewhere that knows how to seat and treat customers.

Two of us went for lunch. We had the light lunch, open beef sandwich with caramelised onion gravy, chips, salad and coleslaw, and a half portion of soup. It was all delicious. Drinks were reasonably priced. The venue is old country style, with mis-matched wooden chairs and church pews, and tables. The staff were attentive and polite. Wonderful views of Otley Chevin.

We booked this for a party of 14 for Sunday lunch and the Roebuck didn't let us down. Superb food catering for all tastes and requirements and brilliant choice. Every plate was well stacked and extremely well cooked. 3 waitressses worked extremely hard in the full restaurant and they looked after us very well, never having to wait too long. An excellent lunch indeed.

We called here for our Sunday Lunch. Pre-booking important!

The Pub was very busy and I guess the service was a little slow, but that was as much that we were very hungry and therefore very keen to get ordered and fed

The food is very well presented and of good proportions. We chose Sunday Lunch and it is a true Sunday Lunch and of the size you would expect of such a meal.

Every part of the meal was perfectly cooked and very tasty – a very well presented and cooked meal.

It isn’t often I go somewhere and like the look of virtually everything on the Pudding list but here you are spoilt of choice, with many traditional ‘old favourite’ puddings.

We had to go for the Jam Roly Poly Pudding!! We were not disappointed. A really scrummy pudding!

The prices are very fair for the size and quality of food.

We would definitely recommend and will ourselves return again, and again!

Being Christmas time, the lunch trade was in full swing, but it didn't stop us from receiving very attentive service in comfortable surroundings. The food was very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
