We returned to Chevin Lodge having stayed here earlier this year. We stayed in a suite which was absolutely lovely. Very comfortable. There was a faint aroma of dogs but this disappered once settled. We had the 6 course taster menu which was again very good. Only one complaint was that the lamb course could have been warmer. Our partners sent theirs to be warmed up but we chose to just eat ours regardless. Breakfast and service was very good again. Puzzled why mushrooms and beans are not included in the full Scottish breakfast though? Our waitress was great despite having fallen just a few moments before we arrived and was a little shaken up. Hope she is now okay. Just one thing to point out the two notices above the hot tub outside contradict each other, one saying no children under the age of 8 and the other no children under the age of 16. This was confusing as our young lady is 10 years old.
Thanks for organising our visit Mark it was a lovely relaxing stay and we hope to be back again soon.

We booked the Sunday Night Special (Six Course Taster Dinner, Breakfast and Bottle of Champagne in Room). Our cabin was nestled in the woods with everything we needed, including tea/coffee tray, robes and slippers, and our double bed was very comfortable. The staff were lovely, all very helpful and smiling, we used the pool, sauna and steam before a very tasty evening meal and even though I am a fussy eater, I really enjoyed all courses. Same too with breakfast, lots to choose from on the menu and plenty fruits, cereals and croissants on the buffet table. Service was extremely quick !!
Check out was at 11 am so we had time for a walk around the grounds which helped to walk off some of the calories we had consumed over the weekend.
I'd describe our bathroom as quaint rather than dated, there was plenty storage with the chest of drawers and walk in wardrobe (with iron and board). The hair dryer was in the dressing table drawer, a small TV and CD player, a nice settee and coffee table, so all we needed. There were 2 minor 'observations' I'd mention, firstly energy saving light bulbs make the reading of your magazine difficult in the evening and the aroma of dog when we entered the cabin (there was a Glade air freshener plugged in the socket in the cabin which would indicate to me that staff were aware of the aroma). That apart and certainly not sufficient a problem to complain to management, we would happily book again.

Had yet another brilliant stay plus booked again for next year. Such a relaxing place to unwind. Yes there are a few areas that need updating but to us our time away here is always enjoyable. Visited the spa twice and enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi. Didn't eat in the restaurant this time but have to say the breakfast is always first class. Anna is wonderful and a credit to the hotel. Already looking forward to our next visit.

was surprised of the unusual setting. You stay in a woode ncabin right in the middle of a forest. Cabin is spaceous with 2 singel beds, a bathroom. Club house with restaurant is a five minute walk. Setting is quiet except the planes from the near Leeds/Bradford airport. Brakfast buffet was good and we had a sandwich in the bar the night before, which was really good. Can recommend this place.
