No we didn't have the fish ! but the wood pigeon was excellent. An extensive menu on the tiled wall behind the bar, a central log burning fire and distant views across Yorkshire created a comfortable setting for an early family Sunday lunch. The meal was great value for such excellent quality. The pub and the staff are child friendly with plenty of high chairs and childrens' menus to ease the stress. Locally brewed beers are well kept and the wines were reasonably priced. Off street car parking and a play area all add to the benefits, although the steep exit from the car park may be challenging in present weather conditions.

This was the venue for a family birthday meal and proved to be a hit with all ages. Good menu with an emphasis on italian [pizza and pasta] but something for everyone. Quality of food very good and efficient friendly service. Homemade ice cream highly recommended.

We popped into The White Hart on spec over the New Year holiday. The pub lies on a main route between Leeds/Bradford & Harrogate, easy to find & with plenty of parking.
It was busy, but the staff were very friendly & obliging & squeezed us in. The ambience is great - clean & modern, but with the feel of an old pub - and the lighting is subdued without you needing to squint at the menu!
The menu is very varied - from pub favourites to italian & chinese - but not excessively vast. The food is excellent. I had crispy fried duck salad and was astonished by the fact that the duck actually outweighed the salad! The seasonings were exquisite, with a different subtle flavour sensation as you hit the each layer of the salad. Prices were reasonable, given the quality - cheap for someone from the south-east, but maybe a bit high on northern standards. The service was excellent.

Booked on line & ate out with my son. Excellent menu with lots of choice. Had a drink whilst waiting for our table, then nibbles (olives & 'artisan' breads), starters (char grilled asparagus & breaded risotto balls) & main (fish pie with veg & a sticky platter (Sticky pork ribs with watermelon, sesame seeds, chicken wings, lamb koftas, flat-bread, tzatziki & gypsy salad ) which is actually a 'sharing starter' but was served with chips as a main course. Food excellent......too full to even look at the 'pudding menu'.
Portion sizes very generous but a little pricey. Table small & in a corner but next to a large group booking - not a problem on this occasion but wouldn't recommend for an intimate/special occasion. Staff friendly & service good but wasn't asked if everything ok/whether we needed anything........

Really enjoy going to the White Hart, lovely surroundings, great service. Only tips would be more variety on the menu for lunch type food as it's all or nothing and maybe some quick eats so I can pop in a bit more easily. Other than that I've enjoyed it every time I've been.
