No we didn't have the fish ! but the wood pigeon was excellent. An extensive menu on the tiled wall behind the bar, a central log burning fire and distant views across Yorkshire created a comfortable setting for an early family Sunday lunch. The meal was great value for such excellent quality. The pub and the staff are child friendly with plenty of high chairs and childrens' menus to ease the stress. Locally brewed beers are well kept and the wines were reasonably priced. Off street car parking and a play area all add to the benefits, although the steep exit from the car park may be challenging in present weather conditions.
