We stumbled across Casa Anton in the mid afternoon when it was still full of guests enjoying lunch with huge dishes of lamb, with salad and bread.... the place was buzzing and we decided on the spot to book a table for dinner. At 8.30p.m. we were the only guests but within half an hour or so more guests began to arrive, and in the meantime we enjoyed looking at the multitude of photos adorning the walls, and admiring the general quirkiness of the place. There is no choice of food - it is milk fed lamb, cooked slowly in the oven and served on a large terracotta dish with a simple side salad and bread. This is accompanied by a bottle of local wine and a homely, rustic atmosphere. It is not cheap (40 euros per person), but it was FUN, unlike the local Parador which took itself far too seriously!! And one other nice touch, we were presented with a little bottle of home made vinegar when we left.
