This restaurant from the outside looks inviting and nicely decorated with a wood fired oven, we arrived early for lunch on a Saturday and were given a table in the downstairs room. We started off badly with staff that ignored us for twenty minutes and then when they finally came to take our order our first four choices were unavailable on the menu, this was met with a don't care less attitude from the waitress who looked gobsmacked that we would actually asked for these dishes even though they were clearly on the menu. I can't remember if the house speciality is lamb or pig but either way this was not available either because we had to order it in advance!!! I had a plate of cold mushrooms with a poor man's scraping of truffle over the top. My husband had a chicken dish which he could barely eat, hard bones mainly chicken scraps no breast or leg in sight (as some compensation when we complained they did not charge us for this dish). We were located near the door where many people came trooping in and out delivering an icey draught! People who had obviously reserved kept being told to come back in twenty minutes, we had a family that stood waiting by our table for over ten minutes with crying toddlers. The wine cellar is across the road in another building so staff kept nipping in and out to get wine and to have a crafty fag, it was very uncomfortable, busy and cold. We could not wait to get out of there!!!
