We were greeted by Stanley, our butler, who took care of our every needs and even for our friends who weren't lucky enough to have him for a butler. Bubbles, Diva, Candy, Samantha, TO, Ryan (all star friends) made sure we had plenty of activities to play and were always smiling and happy to see us. When we went to the shows they made sure we were comfortable. My son went out with most of them every night to the disco where they had a blast. Nordia, Maxwell, Tracyann and Kerry made sure our drinking needs were taken care of. Nordia even remembered my drink without having to tell her. I would rate all of the above 5 star employees.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5115, not a great view because of palm tree. 5019 (ground level) had a great view...

Just returned from the Iberostar Grand in Jamaica. Stayed from May 19-26. Second trip to Jamaica first trip we stayed at the Iberostar Suites in 2009 and it was great. Just let me start off by saying that have a traveled for many years staying in Mexico with the Iberostar Chain and the Secrets Chain.; We have stayed with the Iberostar in the Dominican Republic as well as the
Dreams resorts and alot of other places in between. We simply agreed that this was the best trip in our life. We are in the age range of 49-59 so we have been in a lot of different places. This by far exceeded any expectation we had. This will be a lenghty review, so please bear with me. Let me start by saying the resort is spotless and absolutley beautiful, the food and drinks were absolutely top shelf. Pool area is lovely never a problem getting a chair or towel, many beds too also choose from. Beach was also
wonderful. Everyone from the bell boy to the checkin/out desk were top notch. Some people say its all about the tipping....NOT TRUE. We do tip randomly...and sometimes we just wait to the last day and tip we did both here ....there was absolutely no difference in the service wether you tipped or did not tip...These folks work hard to help your vacation succeed and they should be tipped. The Star Friends at this resort work very hard....this is the greatest group that we have came across in our travels and they just seemed to bring out the best in people, they did not bother you, but always were concerned with your day and invited you to join in whatever activity was going on..keep up the good work Bubbles, Tinkerbell and Diva, the Resort is truly lucky to have folks like you. We did not do any excursions..we just did not want to leave. No problem with booking any of the restaurants. Sorry to say we only caught one show "Chicago" and it was very well done, very talented people. Just one other think..to speak to the level of service you receive while at this resort when we were leaving I left my cigarettes and lighter in my room (No I did not smoke in the room) but when the bell boy went to get our bags he found them on the ironing board and brought them along with the bags...he did not have to do this..but its the little things that seperate a good resort from a luxury resort. We are already planning our next trip, hopefully we will be able to stay for two weeks. I hope no changes are made at this Resort as it truly is GRAND. Great people!!!! PS did use the spa and it too was GRAND!!

I just returned from iberostar Grand in Jamaica. May 22-26, and must say it was GRAND. I was worried about some of the reviews beforehand, but I must say, it was a truly great vacation. The staff was most friendly, the butler Raynard and Milton were superb. Everyone went over and beyond to please you and accommodate your every need. I will be visiting again in the near future. tHANKs Iberostar Grand!

We stayed at the Iberostar Grand from April 28-May2. This resort was absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived! There really isn't one bad thing to say. We were greeted at the shuttle and we attempted to wheel our bags into the hotel and were quickly told not to touch them. That we were on vacation and it would all be taken care of. We walked into the resort and it was the most beautiful lobby we have ever seen. I stayed at the Ritz before and I had assumed that I couldn't top that, but the Iberostar Grand did! If you want an all inclusive this is the one to choose! The food was amazing and the service was perfect. The best part was the staff! They were such wonderful people. We were greeted in the lobby with drinks and they quickly checked us in. We had three different butlers during our stay and they were all wonderful. From setting our reservations, to stocking our fridge with what we wanted to drink. Anything we desired was taken care of. We enjoyed all the restaurants....especially the Japanese. The lobby bar had wonderful evening entertainment. We even saw one of the shows which we really enjoyed. We did make it to the disco one night and they had great music. We had lots of fun there! Another great part of the Grand is that we could also use any of the facilities at the other Iberostar resorts...the Beach and the Suites. They have great evening beach parties at Iberostar Beach resort. I will say that the Grand is the place to stay though. The beach is cleaner, water more beautiful. You get the best of everything...food, alcohol, service. They told us when we arrived that we were king and queen and they weren't kidding. I will say that the highlight of the trip was one of the "Star Friends"....Sherese. It was only her 3rd week on the job when we met her but she was doing a wonderful job. She was fun and sweet and just a joy to be around! Thanks to the Iberostar Grand for the trip of a lifetime! It took us about 1 full week to adjust back into "reality" because we had such an amazing time!

This has become a annual vacation destination for my wife and I. We love the Grand, and will not go any where else for our carribean vacation. What has kept us coming back is quite simply, the Staff and the Wonderful accomodations. This place is paradise and we will be coming back again next year for trip number 5 !!!!! Being several time repeat guests, we have become friends with many of the staff members. our stay was May 10th thru May 17th and it was wonderful........ we met some friends that we met at this resort last year, and we all arrived on the same day again, as we kept in touch all year , it was like a reunion !!!! Hello to Joey and Lisa and Taha and Courtney !!! see you soon !!!

Mr. and Mrs Independance want to point out some special people at this resort !!!!
Management Staff - Natalie , Angelie and Marva , -- what would I do without these three wonderful people !!!! As 4 time returning guests we were also introduced to the Propety General Manager, who also treated us like royalty!!! Star Friend T.O. has been there for all four of our visits and is an asset to the Iberostar chain. New star friend Candy is also extremely fun and friendly !! Our Butlers were the best we have ever had, and would even check on us at the pool to see if we needed anything. (Dwayne and Okean) we will request them next year !!!! concierge girls work extremely hard ( dont forget to thank them and tip them) they are on the second floor....... great job Kimberley, Ava, Jodene, Trisha and any of the other girls that help when you call for anything !!!! Hi to Clive a the lobby bar, he always greets us with a huge smile whenever we see him !!! Carmen and Moises ( mgnt team) are always checking on us...... we have become friends wiith Nordia and Kennesha at the pool and the beach, they are always so friendly to my wife and I. Pool bar note *** this is where we spend the most of out time :) while the other bartenders are great > Morris Day is truly the special bartender among bartenders !!!! get this guy there a little earlier ** he has been our pool bartender for 4 years and when he arrives ( everything gets better ) his shift starts at 2:00 and he is the Star of this bar !!! ask him to sing the big bamboo song ( its worth it ) and to make you a shot called pink ****** 's !!!! ( Dont forget to tip the great service !!! thanks to anyone i may have forgotten ( everyone here is great )

The cozy layout of this resort leads you to have fun with those around you, if you prefer more solitude simply head back to one of the quieter pools for relaxtiion - or sit on your porch swing on your balcony ( great touch ) We love the Rooms, the food , the layout, the view, but whats keeps us returning year after year is the staff !!!!! they treat us like old friends year after year !!!! We talk about going to other resorts in the carribean -- but we won't because this place is paradise !!!!

Just a couple of observations ( not complaints ) this place warrants no complaints !!!! my wife and I believe that a Tiki type outdoor bar ( away from the pool bar ) would be great for those that want to sit at a outdoor bar, but not be right by the activitity pool ) just a thought *** We are in our 40's but we also think more music all day by the pool gets people in a festive mood, the music seems to be hit and miss......... also more beach barbeques, would be nice ( 2 per week would insure that all guests got to experiece this ) our first year they did the barbeques and steel drum band in front of the pool area ( more people could enjoy it at this location ) ---- no big deal just friendly suggestions------- also they were having some a/c issues in the lobby, lobby bar, theater, and buffet while we were there , but the General Manager was kind enough to explain that parts were on order to fix the problem !!!!! no biggie - just observations !!!!

We met some more great people at this resort this year !!! Shout out to Kristin and Steve from Green Bay and Jason and Jess, from Philly ... ( jason whipped me in pool basketball all week ) ( hello to our friends ( Syracuse ) we had alot of fun with you two as well !!! We also met some great people from Mesa Arizona ) Hello to the Mesa Police !!!!

In summary, we came here when this resort first opened & we are treated like royalty every year when we return !!! A Huge thank you to this entire staff , i have nothing bad to say about anyone that works here !!! Your are all amazing !!!! i Hope I didnt forget anyone !!!! the lifeguards at the pool remember us, the housekeepers remember us, the people that clean by the pool area say welcome back !!!! This place is paradise, have a great 50Th independance day Jamaicia !! From Mr. and Mrs. Independance !!!

- Our computerized music system was experiencing some problems whilst you were here, we have since had it repaired and so persons outside should be hearing the music at this time. It would also be pertinent for us to mention too that, the music outside is mostly confined to the pool bar as many of our guests in the past would make mention that they prefer a more quiet environment in order to read whilst they are lounging by the pool.
- As you rightly said we hope to address the issues currently being experienced with the air conditioning system in some public areas very soon and as a matter of high priority. We thank you for understanding.

Thank you for highlighting the service of our staff, layout of the property, balcony, rooms, and food as being amongst the highlights of your visit. Nothing at this resort could have been more perfect. We had everything we needed right at our fingertips the entire time and if there was something we wanted, we could have it within minutes. The butler service really topped the trip for all of us though and wanted to personally thank our butler, Donovan, for his exceptional service, kindness, gratitude, and hospitality. I would recommend this resort to ANYONE who tells me they're planning on going to Jamaica and we all can't wait to return. Thank you to the entire Iberostar Grand Rose Hall team for making this vacation (and my brothers wedding) a trip we will never forget! Absolutely breath taking!

Room Tip: All the rooms had amazing views of the ocean and resort. We had 18 people in our party at the resor...

The person who wrote the review about the Ibersotar Grand (Montego Bay) must be a person very hard to please. My wife and I have been travleing to Jamiaca on vacation for 27 years. I have stayed at the Iberostar Montego Bay 6 times. It initially opened in June 2006. We stayed 2 times at the beach hotel, 3 times at the Grand, 1 time at the Suites with my kids and grankids and I plan on staying in the Grand again August 2012. Each hotel is nice, well kept, clean, good food/drinks and the service is oustanding. As for the Grand (adults only) It is very,very nice well above the other hotels I stayed in in Montego bay event the Ritz Carlton. As for the beach it is nice and the pools are very good.

The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport. 30 minutes from downtown Montego and 15 mintues from the Hip Strip where Margaritavile is located.

The hotels on the Hip Strip are lot less fancy, less clean, cheaper, sits near the public beach, and service is not as good. However, if you like a lot of excitement and door to door bar hopping this would be for you. The area is Gloucester Ave District. If you like to visit that area Iberostar as well as other hotels will provide free transportation. However, hanging in that area at night can sometimes be a challenge for the hagling and possible getting beat for your money.

I have been to Negril (wet n wild hotels some nudity) also Ocho Rios (hotels are near the city huslte and bustle but not bad for families).

In summary Iberostar Montego Bay is a nice clean safe place to stay for families and adults only. Jamaica is like this you pay for what you get. Want a Chevorlet price you get it. Want a Lexus price you get that.

Enjoy your vaction the country is beautiful, people are nice. Food is good and safe to eat all over the island.
