Just returned from a 3 day stay. The food was excellent and restaurant staff, although extremely busy, were always courteous and helpful. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the receptionist who told me she was far too busy to deal with a query I raised on the first morning and as the manager was not on duty until after the week-end there wasn't anything she could do!
The hotel is in a very beautiful setting and whilst the bedroom (316) was clean with very comfortable beds the furniture wouldn't look out of place in student accomodation,. stained and scratched with a hole in the wardrobe door where the handle should be. I paid over 240GBP for a 3 night stay and I expected a much better standard of room.
With very little investment this hotel would be a first choice for me. I do wonder if the managers ever venture into the bedrooms and whether they would wish to stay in a room with dirty old furniture.More
