The Punakaiki Rocks Resort is a fine establishment not to be missed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rooms are large, quiet, contemporary, with large restrooms, a very comfortable bed, and all the amenities of home. Although we obviously didn't go into every room, they all appear to have fantastic views looking out over the beach. Ours certainly did!
The service at the front desk was fantastic, especially since we didn't even have a reservation:o)
Our dinner in their dining room was absolutely delicious! And the service was impeccable.
As others have mentioned, don't forget to make the time to hike the short walk up above the hotel to stand in awe of the beautiful Pancake Rocks & blow holes below...even in cold, windy, foggy rain it was a beautiful sight.
