It was very easy to find this hawker area right under the SunView Hotel. There was a good selection of food as mentioned here already at a very good value. We enjoyed the grilled chicken wings and sate. The only thing was it was weekend night and the stalls started closing up around 11pm. We thought this place was open until 2am or so but most places were done about midnight.

We three friends found our way to Lorong Baru t for dinner only to find only 2 or 3 stalls operational. Don't know the story but disappointing to say the least!

Had a fun meal and good local food at the New Lane Hawker centre. It is on a street (mainly on one corner) that closes down around 4pm for the hawker stalls and tables to set up. Smaller range of stalls than some of the other hawker centres. But food was good and was a great experiences.

But expensive compare with other non tourist location. Try Trengganu Road/ Taman Free School or along Perak Road. There are a lot of penang hawker food along Perak road but it is not a tourist location. Food is cheaper there.

It's a great combinations of street food stalls on the street outside a few coffee shops to try out Penang's street food. Go before 6.30 pm to avoid the crowd.

Excellent Grilled Chicken Wings.

Very good Roast Duck, Hokkien Noodles or Prawn Noodles, Char Kuey Teow, Won Ton Noodles and Dumplings.

Haven't tried other food yet. But so far so good.
