I did not expect the 'hill' to have a village on top! There's so much to see! I recommend going on the habitat trail! That was the best thing there!

The lady at the restaurant told us that the walking path to monkey beach is not closed even though the official sign said it was closed. She told us that sign is to convince us to take the boat instead. We didn’t test this out as we wanted to take the boat anyway, but perhaps check the trail (not trust the sign) if you are keen to walk the trail.

My first time visit to the National Park. Nice jungle filled with nature; flora and fauna. Also home to the wild animals. Spent half a day just to see how the place is like and do assessment for safety hazards before bringing students there for a hike.

Certain parts of the trek are closed due to renovation like beach etc but it’s. A must for trekkers
What a unique experience and we carried a stick around just in case some animal sprung around.
It’s like being in wildlife in true sense

It’s all raw and an amazing experience to go for
Wear light as it’s too hot and no water inside .
Need to wear sports shoes else u can slip

Yes you can hire a boat to take you to monkey beach or turtle beach but you would miss so much of the jungle trekking experience. With 2 daughters who are not the biggest fans of bugs, this is a safe way to do a jungle trek for 4 jungle novices. The path is clear and it takes 1 hour 20 mins to walk through the jungle to the other side of the island. You can't swim in the sea here but the sand is golden and the views are unspoilt. There is a small turtle sanctuary here too which is worth a visit. It is a step back to nature and a complete contrast to the hustle and bustle of Georgetown.
