The srevice was good and friendly but at times slow due to the spread of the property. We chose a 1BHK , which came wiith a non functional kitchen, but was large and really clean with very good furnishings, really adequate for a family of four.Location is in the elite area of nainital about 1km up from the lake. They have a free shuttle to and fro the lake. They dont have a pool. The braekfast spread was a good maix of non veg and veg , both continental and Indian.Dinner was great with good moghlai food.Hot and free flowing rotis and nans were also appreciated. The staff went out of the awy to organise houises , and other games. There was decent live keyboard player.
I think the cleanliness and food was the best part , but the pricing was on the higher side. The shuttle is also a great plus , and yes thay have a driver dorm at 100rs a day.

we stayed here for 3 nights in a group of 12 adults and 12 children.an excellent hotel, well maintained and with lots of open spaces. its got cottages as well scattered around the property, which can be rented.with children though we preferred to stay in the main building.lots of inhouse games available--pool table, chess, table tennis and swings for the kids.its regular packages are quite economical.the staff is very hospitable. the food here was excellent. if in nainital then this is the place to be as there are not too many options on the main mall for food.
its got a good bar/ lounge with sheeshas.the management thoroughly accomadated us, with our group of noisy children and adults staying up the whole night.MUSSSTTT STAY!!

We had booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon package and arrived at the hotel in the off peak season. The location is about 15 mins from the mall, but the hotel is beautiful.
They were doing maintenance work of the main wing and we stayed at one of the suites.
The staff was very courteous, rooms were big and comfortable and room service was really good. Had a great view of the mountains from the room too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back sometime.
We had hired our own car from delhi, so did not use services provided by the hotel.

When searching for this hotel, at least two web sites poped up. One, Hill and Sea is actually a travel agent. Not realizing this, I booked three nights for the middle of October. They asked for a 50% deposit by bank transfer, but eventually relented to PayPal. The day after I paid the deposit, they wrote back that the price has gone up by 50%, but I can pay at check-in. After having booked another hotel, it took me numerous phone calls to the hotel, to sales agents and the travel agents to get my deposit back.

We visited Nainital in jun 2010 and stayed at Vikram vintage inn. we had high expectations from the hotel as we had read very good reviews about the hotel on various websites. i must admit the hotel was good in terms of infrastructure, cleanliness and food (though a li'l expensive around this time of the year). the hotel has good amenities (playarea, carrom, table tennis) to keep children of all age group occupied. they had even organized a magic show on one of the days. however, the distance from the mall @ nainital is big drawback. in spite of the committed 15-20 mins wait time to / from the pick up point near mall, we were stranded for as long as 45 mins with our toddler waiting for a pick up from the pick up point at the mall. in spite of repeated calls to the hotel the cab failed to reach us. the kid had by then slept waiting to get back to the back. the hotel staff was unapologetic about the entire incident. The average wait time for us was 30 mins from the mall and 10 mins for drop from hotel to mall. the staff is very eager to serve those who know the GM of the hotel or are willing to shell out tips at the drop of a hat.

the food, however, was good and the rooms were clean. Its a good place for family with kids if you can ignore the wait time from the mall and keep giving loads of tips.

We went to Nainital during the peak summer season. The hotel was full, but it did not feel crowded at any point in time. It felt reasonably quiet. Rooms are modern when compared to your regular hill station hotels.
There is a large parking space for your car. Free pickup and drop to the mall road is provided and is quite efficient.
Food is excellent, with a very good buffet spread. No Onion No Garlic food is also available in plenty.
Overall, a good place to stay
