I had been to pavilion from 12/10/13 to 15/10/13.Its location is slightly away from naini lake,15 mts walk upwards from naini lake by the side of high court.Set up of the hotel reminds old british era with bunglow type buildings with wooden floors etc.Hotel is very neatly maintained with british ambience & maintained with a purpose to keep your stay in the hotel a joyus experience.Hotel is having its own bakery & there is a wonderfully maintained restaurant known as 'baker's hut' where you get an assortment of bakery items apart from various combinations of tea/coffee.Most advantage of the restaurant is thali system of veg/non veg combinations during day only costing Rs 150/200.Veg thali comes of one veg item, one paneer dish,dal,4 tawa rotis & rice which are delicious to taste.I have not tasted non veg thali. In package system with breakfast, buffet type which includes toast with jam/butter,either puri with sabji or aluparatha with dahi, milk with cornflakes/poha,egg omlette or boiled egg or bhurji.,one item of fruit,tea/coffee regular or black.Lunch/Dinner at the dining hall for a-la-carta items will appx cost Rs 300/- for veg items & Rs 400/- for non veg. Breakfast buffet style will cost around Rs 300/-.Taking an average of Rs 300/- for each breakfast, lunch &dinner comes to a total of appx Rs 900/-per day which can be used as the amt of discount, you can count for package deal.Service by the hotel staffs is quite prompt/courteous ,hot water is avl in the taps till 10 a.m & then served in buckets.power backup avl.In absnce of cas implementation, only few channels avl in cable supply.Hotel management should endevour to connect by dish tv,tata sky, airtel or videocon digital &customise one regional channel along with popular hindi channels, news channels,english/hindi movie channels & popular sports channels which wil be an added attraction & cutting edge compared to other hotels in the same class.all rooms are having attached vearandahs facing outside of mostly facing outside bldgs/hilly terrain.standard room is o.k but should be provided with a bigger cabinet for family instead of a very small cabinet for a single person.

The Pavilion is one of the oldest hotels of Nainital constructed somewhere round 1880 during the time of British Raj. Earlier it was a governmental property which was later converted to a Hotel.
The best thing about the hotel is its spaciousness and clean rooms. It is centrally located near the high court and has ample of parking space. Moreover the Mall, Naini lake, Ropeway point the main attractions of Nainital are just a five minutes walking distance from the hotel. The conference hall provides good recreation facilities of indoor games like table tennis, carom which can be enjoyed during late evenings especially after dinner. It becomes more enjoyable if one is taking a students tour of 48- 50 students. The meals served are tasty with a good room service facility. The bonn fire at the hotel terrace garden can be enjoyed if one is with a large group of members. Snacks can also be served during the bonn fire party which adds to one's enjoyment. Overall a very good hotel to stay!

Dear Guest,

Thanks for such encouraging words, just one correction PAvilion was never a government building, it was a tea parlor run by a British lady, it has been growing since 1880, the year it was first built. I am glad you enjoyed most of our services, looking forward to host your group again.

We just returned from a trip to Nainital. We stayed for 2 days in the pavilion and we found the staff to be very courteous. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The food was good.. It was centrally located and is just a stone throw from the Mall Road. Overall it was a good experience.

Known The Pavillion as The New Pavillion since ages. It is a good hotel located a little up from The Mall though quite walkable. But some people might want to use a vehicle. It has ample parking facility & the rooms are cozy.

Beautiful hotel with big spacious modern rooms but the highlight was the hospitality of the owners and the staff. They have just opened a bakery which had some delicious calzones and chicken croissant sandwich. Overall a great experience, special thanks to manvendra and ritu for this.
