Best place to hangout with your friends, colleagues or family.
I use to visit nanitaal 3-4 times a year and i never miss to go Ayar. Their food quality is awesome.
Staff is very helpful & Humble. They also organise all type of adventure sport activities.

If anyone ask me where is nature, i'll say come to this camp n see yourself.

Room Tip: You can go for swiss camps near common washroom areas or go for cottages in starting of ayar entranc...

When I first reached here courtesy their hoarding, never thought it would turn out to be such a lovely place just ten minutes drive & 20 minutes walk from main Nainital city - read Mall road.

Architecture - natural bamboo huts/swiss tents with comfortable, neat linens, sleeping bags, clean bathrooms but yeah, not squeaky cleans like in three star hotels.

Open Areas - plenty : You can play cricket, football, volleyball, enjoy your evenings with unlimited bonfire n even play/dance to your favourite songs on a decent music system. Great place to unwind, party n enjoy...

Parking - plenty of it & they have a generator too just in case you need power for laptops n all in times of no electricity.

Pet friendliness - hell yes, they have three dogs on the campus, very friendly n playful but you got to be little cautious with kids around.

Safety - pretty decent, they dont have a gun man or something but owners are very well known, local people n staff is reliable n trustworthy.

Food - good in quantity, quality, freshly prepared - they should have electric tandoor to serve non veg snacks as well :)

Service - Awesome, they served us hot food at 1:00 am in the night. Where can we get that in Nainital??

Price - very reasonable in off season | could be on the expensive side during season, pretty usual with all Nainital hotels.

Room Tip: - For Adventurous Types : Tents/cottages on heights are good. - For Couples with/without children...

If you like nature and hiking, or even just quiet and trees, this is the best place to stay in Nainital. We walked by all of the hotels in town, which may have good views of the lake, but most looked run down and some were quite sketchy looking. Also, by avoiding staying in town, we were not hassled to buy tours or other wares. I absolutely do not like feeling like a target all of the time, so this was a HUGE plus for me. It is a shortish walk to town, although if you can't walk uphill you may have trouble going back up.

The cabin we stayed in was big enough for 3 to 5 people, but they also have tents set up during non-monsoon seasons. We were surrounded by gorgeous trees and hiking trails, also caves and great viewpoints of the lake and town. The tents were not up because we went during monsoon, but the rains were not cold and it was still pleasant to be there when it rained. It was a little chilly in the evening, though, but not more than a light jacket was needed. We did get some sun, and the temperature was perfect for walking around or just hanging out.

The service was good and the food was amazing. We did not eat in town at all during our stay because we knew the food would be affordable and delicious at the camp. They get fresh ingredients every day, and if they do not have something in stock they will send someone immediately to go get it. Everyone was very pleasant and willing to help. The guide who took us on the trail was also good and knew all the viewpoints. They also have other outdoor activities like rock climbing, caving, ropes. The only small complaint we had was that some of the restaurant staff didn't always understand what we were trying to order because their English was minimal, but that is minor because everything was delicious anyway!

We found out about this place through a colleague and plan on going back again, and to their new location under construction further in the mountains that will be opening later this year!

Room Tip: Some cabins were available right near the entrance, so if you do not want to stay higher up where yo...

Hi guys! I've passed some days in the Ayar Jungle Camp with friends, the camp is just awesome. We arrived during the night and the staff welcomed us with a nice bonfire and excellent food.
In the Ayar Jungle Camp you are really in contact with the nature and the town is just 20 minutes from the site it's perfect. There is lot of things to do inside and around. Accomodations are excellent, cosy and eco-friendly.
It's one of the best place I've seen during my trip of 3 months in in India, it's like heaven.

Pour les français : la camp est parfait, c'est une bouffée d'oxygène dans le brouhaha de l'Inde, excellent pour faire une pause, se relaxer et apprécier les fabuleux paysages de Nainital. Je recommande vivement, n’hésitez pas.

Hi! guys i have been to Ayar and definitely it is a beautiful place to for couples to stay. The cottages are secluded in forest and sounds romantic. But also this makes this place a very unsafe place too. There are couple of things i can't share online but i had a gone with my wife for a quite romantic holiday and it was disastrous experience. There were some school kids staying with us and one night we observed that there was some one sneaking in our cottage. It was such an embarrassing for me and my wife to move out of our cottage to talk to the owner about it. But next morning we decided to talk to the owner/manager and he said that there cannot be any staff who would do anything like this. Rather he gave us a silly excuse that there are school kids staying here and any one of them would have sneaked in. The gentle man did not realized that as a couple when we were involved in bed there was someone enjoyed the view.
Hope none of you go to this place with family.

Just as we arrived it was raining...and it rained throughout night.....but that was a memorable experience. Accommodation is little far from the main complex but that was very much expected as you have to literally stay in the middle of nature. Rooms very nice and very reasonably priced, hot water, heater provided in rooms and one very good thing........no TV in rooms. Special mention: Food is just too good and delicious. Owner was very courteous and specially lit a bonfire for us even though the rain was playing hide and seek. There is room service but no intercom, though phone numbers are displayed in rooms. Only ten minutes walk to the Mall.
Really Really excellent stay........Highly Recommended

Room Tip: If you are five persons, one big cottage will be enough for you. There are tents available as well.
