Just returned form a week staying at Spiti Prifti (translates to 'home of the Prifti's - says it all!!)
Eleni Prifti takes care of the general day to day running of the place. She does this with genuine passion and cares dearly for the happiness of all her guests.

We asked for a harbour view and that's what we got. Friends of ours also booked a few months after we did and they were allocated the room next to us. Nothing is too much trouble for Eleni, she arranged for a taxi to meet us when we landed - the driver was waiting for us as we walked out of the arrivals area inside the airport building. When the taxi dropped us off Eleni came running out to meet us, took us to our apartment and chatted with us explaining the layout of the grounds, good local places to eat, bus routes etc etc etc.
Glynis runs the pool bar during the day - and yep she does remember everyone’s names - also what they like to drink, if they have ice, even if they have a straw or not. She takes time to speak to everyone and obviously loves what she does.

Spiti is a simple place, lovely large pool, lovely gardens and lovely staff. The food is good value for money and well prepared. The place is laid back, you quickly get to know other guests and everyone was always very friendly.
Gouvia is a short walk, has loads of places to eat and drink - including traditional Greek, Mexican, Chinese, Italian, we also went to a 'Motown night' at a bar which was real fun. In the opposite direction is a smaller village which is slightly quieter than Gouvia with some lovely traditional taverna's.

Eleni came out to the taxi with us when we left which I thought was very nice, we were sad to be leaving which is always a true sign of how good a holiday is.
We have a holiday already booked elsewhere next year, but I will do my best to return back to Spiti also and know that there will be a great welcome from Eleni, Glynis and the rest of the wonderful staff. Thank you for making our holiday brilliant!!

Just back from a week in Spiti Prifti and can't recommend it high enough. Nothing was any bother for Eleni and Glynis and all the other staff. We had our 83 yr old mother with us and Eleni rented a Rollator on her behalf and during the week provided us with a wheelchair so that we could take her out shopping and to see the sights. Our grand-daughter who is 13 months old learnt to walk at Sptit Prifti so we'll have fond memories of Eleni and her team minding her, forever. Glynis is an absolute treasure and she's runs the pool bar with efficiency and ease. She remembers everyone's name and always has a smile for you. The apartments are spotlessly clean and the ladies who pop in to keep the place tidy are happy and pleasant, and the gardner is the most wonderful worker I've ever met. He transformed the gardens from a jungle to a manicured and landscaped garden in a matter of days, and picked up every leaf that he cut so that you wouldn't know he was there. Take my advice and spend a week there and you'll never want to step foot outside the gardens.

This fitted our needs perfectly. Eleni was very helpful before and during our stay. All the family and staff are friendly and efficient. As a previous review states - Glynis does indeed remember our names! It is a little walk into either village, but we knew before we booked, and my husband who walks with a stick, managed with no problem. We were to swim in the lovely pool and the sea in early May. Good location for watching boats and the blue sea ! Can recommend the 9 Muses restaurant in Gouvia. Our apartment was spotless, spacious and newly decorated.

Room Tip: Apartments overlooking the harbour are away from the main road.

I can truly recommend the Spiti Prifti hotel. It is clean, lovely staff and has all you need. If you are after luxury this is not the place, nor if you are looking for party and go or for that matter if you are planning a lot of shopping.
Though the buses and taxis take you into town in just a few minutes so it is not a problem.
However, the guests in the hotel, at our stay, were mostly families or couples in various ages.

I had a fantastic 2 weeks stay at Spiti Priffti in September. Booking it couldn't have been easier, despite problems finding suitable flights which meant juggling the dates around a bit on the phone with Eleni. There was a taxi waiting at the airport as had been promised, and it wasn't expensive.
The property is immaculate. The staff really take an interest in making the stay pleasureable. That includes the cleaners, the handyman, the bar staff, and the owners. I never had a problem getting a seat next to the pool. The downside of the pool is the busy road on the other side of a large hedge. The traffic noise is never ending, and does spoil the tranquillity.
Spiti Priffti is centred on the pool area. Glynis is there from morning until 6pm, and she is fantastic. There is snack food available all day long. The only area for improvement here would be for more restaurant based food. I wasn't the only one that went out to the adjoining villages each evening to eat. There is a huge number of restaurants either side of Spiti Priffti competing for business. If you want to leave a tip for the service at the bar, leave it at the time rather than keeping a tab and paying it off at the end of the night. If you do this, the daytime staff see none of the tip, which is a bit unfair.
The rooms are spotless, and spacious, cleaned every day. The bathroom / shower is very good.
So, overall, this is a great place to spend a relaxing holiday for a very reasonable price, with everything you could possibly want on the doorstep.

Wonderful staff, beautiful gardens, lovely big pool & bar area. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Excellent showers too. Recommend to anyone. We stayed whilst putting our boat to bed for the winter. Ideally situated between south entrance & kontakali entrance to the marina. Perfect place for our visitors to stay as well. Also close to big supermarket for supplies & gouvia town for beach & tavernas.

A very happy stay with the Prifti family. We were very satisfied with the self catering facilities and the location, close to the Marina. Thank you Eleni and your staff, especially Glynis at the Pool Bar. Highly recommended!
