I stayed here in June 2008 with Solo's Holidays. The hotel is located in the centre of the village but it is quiet. I don't know if the rooms at the front suffer from any noise. There is a nice pool area at the back. Rooms were compact yet comfortable. Breakfast was a simple cold buffet of bread, cheese and ham. Milk for cereals was UHT (Yuk!). Apparently there are no dairies on Corfu. The only problem was the showers which either scald or freeze if someone else turns their water on

Good basic hotel. Staff friendly. Restaurants and bars next door! Rooms clean and adequate. Be warned about the showers - hot to cold within seconds!

On the plus side, good location near sea, bars & restaurants, clean, pleasant staff, close Corfu Town (Which is great). However, taking a shower was a nerve racking experience. The cubicle was tiny (Im not a large person) & a damp shower curtain stuck to me was unpleasant enough. Too make matters far worse the water temparature would without warning switch from icy cold to scalding hot to the point of having to jump out of the cubicle. This happened regardless of the time of day.
The lift was out of order for most of my stay, and having to drag my case from the 2nd floor on departure wasnt much fun.

I stayed at this hotel in June 2008. It is basic and could do with an update but that said it is very clean and tidy. The staff all speak good english and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are a good size, with plent of wardrobe space with lots of hangers, the rooms had TV's, Air con. and fridges both available at extra cost but not overpriced with the air con costing 2 euro a day and the fridge 14 euro a week. The bathrooms are basic and small, my only complaint were the showers they are far to small, lack water pressure and can jump from cold to scalding in a matter of seconds.

The pool area is clean, with plenty of sunbeds but the pool is open to everyone and that includes the local kids who are a pain and not supervised, they ruin the peace and quiet.

Louvre Hotel is a two star hotel offering clean and comfortable accommodation. I would say it was above a two star and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool clean, nice bar and outside seating and all shops, beach, restaurants, bus stop to Corfu town etc. all on the doorstep.

The rooms were comfortable with a television and a phone and you could rent a fridge for 2 euros a day. The rooms were cleaned and beds made every day. Most of the rooms had balconies with a view either over the swimming pool or the town but two or three were above a small garden/orchard where the foliage from the trees completely obscured the balcony and any view outside. It would be a good idea if these were trimmed back.

We had a very enjoyable stay and were even prepared a continental breakfast at 3 am. as we had an early flight home.

Good value, good service, clean and well positioned - would recommend.

We came to Hotel Louvre and asked for a room because the hotel we had booked in to was situated next door to a noisy disco which closed at five in the morning. We were exhausted after two nights in lack of sleep.
The young lady in the reception at Hotel Louvre was very nice and friendly. She fixed us a good room to a very acceptable price, and we could move in at once. The rest of the staff were also nice and forthcoming.
Hotel Louvre was a very pleasant place to stay, clean and comfortable. The pool was lovely - and there were enough sunbeds, even now in the high season! And we could sleep peacefully there!

We give this hotel our strongest reccomendation.
