“worth a detour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2011

This long-established biscuit and cake manufacturer has recently re-opened the old station next to their factory at Montgaillard along the old Bagneres to Tarbes road, and created a shop and tea-rooms. Part of the tearoom is a '60's era train carriage which extends outwards giving nice views of the Pic du Midi and Mont Aigue. Freshly homemade cakes accompany teas, coffees and tisanes of excellent quality, and good value. The shop carries the whole range of Vedere products along with other locally-sourced products. The only daft thing about it is that, typically of this region, they close at lunch time 1-2pm !!
